  4. People do anything to make a profit, even if it means exploiting tragedy and a botched war. The only reason they’re bringing this pilot out of limbo is because of the new developments with the Rice testimony. Millions of people are following this new shit, which means $$$ for the TV execs who have decided to resurrect and broadcast the pilot. It’s a smart move considering current events, I’ll give them that. But the concept is fucked up. ‘Homeland Security’ is even more American propaganda disguised as a series pilot, and I think we’ve already seen enough falsity and fabrication regarding the war on terrorism (read: CNN). Further validation that the world is sick.

Yeah sometimes bush’s aides fuck things up, like by bring him the wrong coffee, so then he has to blow up iraq, cause I know when its not folders in my cup, I have to take over Iraq so I can steal their oil.

and for future reference I’m a republican.

  11. Aren’t all Jews Democrats? Cause obviously they hate war. Actually most of the blame is on the American people themselves. If Bush had come out right after getting elected, that he was going to spend billions on homeland security and to take out terrorists all over the world the liberals would have been all over him about spending so much away from America and not helping out all those "needy" welfare cases that make more money then I do. Americans never said a word about Clinton cutting back all the military. Also the fact even though we lost soldiers due to the war in Iraq you have to know that when you join the military you are going to be putting your life at risk. Otherwise they would be arming you with sticks and not guns. I’m not saying that losing lives is bad and it is tragic that any lives were lost but how many lives would have been lost in the future (not just counting american lives) if we hadn’t done something now.

  13. First off.. people need to get this straight. The war in Iraq isn’t for oil.. that’s merely a side benefit. What it’s about is regional presence. By owning and being in Iraq they’re basically saying to all the countries in the middle east; you fuck with us, and we’re gonna bring the beat down on you. And they can do cuz they have all of Iraq as a launching pad. Kuwait was just too limited in terms of its reach of other countries. Now I’m a democrat.. but I personally think the war was something that needed to be done a long time ago.

They shoulda done it when Bush Sr. was in office when they had legitimate excuse and support, but of course they didn’t.. so now they’re kinda forced to do it cuz of 9/11, and they had to throw out a bunch of half assed excuses.. (you’d think they could at least plant something there) and it makes them look like idiots and liars doing it.

But anyway.. just because I support the war don’t mean I support Bush. I don’t mind republicans too much.. cept I dun understand why they can’t see how dumb George W. is. I mean there are tons of other much more intelligent republican candidates, but they have to choose the dumbest one. the one who only graduated college cuz his daddy paid them off, and skipped military duty cuz his daddy paid someone off, was a alcoholic for most of his life, and chose to be a politician only when other things didn’t work out and it seemed to be easiest.

Republicans do have many valid views, but by god can’t you at least choose someone whose intelligeble enuff to communicate them? Bush can’t even pronounce the names of half the countries he’s bombing..

  19. Funny that some fuck said all Jews are Democrats because if that was true, then why is the U.S. been so involved with the nation of Isreal and sides so much with them over Palestine? Why doesn’t the U.S. take over Isreal with their Weapons of Mass Destruction? So shut your anti-Jew sentiment and go bash the whole government instead of just the Democrats. Afterall, Bush hasn’t said anything really to help matters much with Isreal and Palestine. I bet he was pretty much happy that the Hamas leader was shot down. Now if he can only further conquer the middle east and get more Americans killed, that will tell the whole world what a great caring leader he is. Afterall, 600 soldiers dead and many government workers quitting the Bush Administration sure reflects the great experience Bush has with government politics and with military strategy. I’m still waiting for the U.S. to stop supporting Isreal, but, oh wait, that’s not going to happen.

  21. We went to iraq because Sadaam and Iraq had shitloads of money from Oil….and they were using that money to fund terrorist groups….they were harboring terrorists….and had the money and know-how to construct WOMD. They were not being supervised and inspections had been cut off contarary to agreements made with the UN after Dessert Storm. Thats why Bush went in there to end Saddams rule….Plus the guy was a sick fuck. What were doing now is what has to be done there…they control alot of the worlds money because of their wealth in oil…and we want to make sure that the oil money is going to the iraqi people instead of Saddam’s agenda. I wish we had waited for the UN’s approval though. then we would have to look like assholes to the rest of the world by forcing our agenda on a country that desparateky needs it whether they realize it now or not…they’ll be far better off for it in the future.

Another nice thing he did was to no longer allow the CIA to pay CI’s for info. Dennis Miller said something on point the other day: "Why should we have expected Bush to do in 236 days what Clinton couldn’t do in 8 years?" That being said, I hate that this movie was made. 33. First of all, we pulled out of the first Gulf War because of the U.N. They felt the mission was accomplished when WE liberated Kuwait. We should have defied them then and finished the job. Second, Cliton was offered Bin Laden when he was in office and refused. If he would have taken him into custody then, 9/11 would never have happened. The war in Iraq has served it’s purpose! HAVE WE BEEN ATTACKED SINCE? No, because all these rag head fuckers around the world know there is a President with BALLS running the show, and if they do we will bomb them into the stone age. If we would have done this after the first Trade Center bombing, after the U.S embassies where bombed or after the attack on the U.S.S. Cole, 9/11 would have never happened. But we didn’t because we had an asshole in office who was more concerned with some ugly, fat intern than the nation’s security.
BUT THAT IS JUST MY OPINION!

  34. Liberal and eddie hit the nail on the head. The democrats are in the "anything Bush is evil" mode. Democrats who previously supported the removal of Saddam (as a true liberal would; if you find yourself not agreeing with this, then you should probably refer back to a dictionary and look up what classical liberalism is) are ferventy anti war simply because they hate Bush. And now they are attempting to pin the blame from 911 on Bush (even though no administration, be it republican or democratic, did enough to recognize and fight terrorism). It isn’t enough to simply say "The government fucked up over the past 20 years." Instead, they have to say "Only Bush for the first 8 months of his presidency is responsible." Bob Kerrey writes an editorial in the Wall St. Journal saying how the 911 Commission needs to preside over the hearings with bi-partisanship, and then proceeds to launch into a partisan attack on Dr. Rice the very same day the editorial is posted (not that he’s auditioning for the VP post on Kerry’s ticket or anything). Give me a fuckin’ break. Sorry for the length of this damn post, i’m just a little bitter about this right now.

Johnny Bravo I think is closest to reality here, however, war/occupation will not solve any problems, and 9/11 will happen again if the US keeps bullying just because it can. Give ’em some time (you’ll forget, they won’t), you will be happy minding your own business, and that’s when they’ll strike again. Unluckily, Spain, and most of Europe is getting caught up in the shit the US is creating.

And yes, you do need to get a President who at least knows how to pronounce the names of the countries he’s bombing.

When a kid is playing with a lighter, you take the lighter away, you dont just blow out the flame. Douchbags who whine about ‘money’ or ‘economic stability’ are idiots. We just freed millions of people, gave them the reedoms we know, love, and take for granted. So we’re out of more money than Bill Gates has and the world hates us, but we’ve done good.

  40. reread what i wrote. i was just stating why we’re there. i don’t agree with the bullying tactics. i wish we had waited until the UN backed whatever decision, the united world, decided would be best for all.

where we disagree, i guess, is now that we’re in there it’s tough to leave a place where rulership is still decided on whoever has the most guns. On Meet the Press with Tim Russert, they were discussing the results of all sorts of different polls taken throughout different areas of Iraq and there is an overwhelming majority of the Iraqi people that are thrilled that we are there and the don’t want us to leave the numbers averaged 87-90% in favor of democracy in Iraq and the people want us to help them establish that….there are however, extreme radicals that would like nothing more than to kill Americans.

There really is no absolute right or wrong way to handle these situations…it’s war. it sucks. but hopefully there is a much brighter future for the Vast majority of the peaceful Iraqi’s that will lead their wealthy Country to a greatness it deserves.

….or we could just leave Iraq now and let whatever Powerful wealthy tyrant Force himself into power of an extremely powerful policeless, lawless country.

I don’t know if what were doing, or how we are going about things, is absolutely right or wrong…but we, unfortunately, have to deal with it in the most responsible peaceful way we know how to…..which i feel is to Vote out Bush and watch Kerry try to mend every broken fence Bush
    created.

It sucks as though the World views us as a bully.

  44. I think people should realize that the terriosts knew what kind of power, military, and weaponry that the United States had before they attacked us. The fact is that they (meaning the terrorists) were not afraid of us from the beginning and just because we flex our military muscle in Iraq doesn’t mean that the terrorists will stop their brutal actions towards the United States. The only way that we can get rid of the terrorists is by weeding out the terrorists cells in the countries where they exist. If people were to look at the facts, they would see that most of the terrorists were from Saudi Arabia and other countries (not Iraq). Invading a country and changing their government around is going to change nothing. Trying to change the government and culture of Iraqi society will do nothing because the true terrorists were not there in the first place. If we had spent the amount of money, time and people that we did invading & rebuilding Iraq in other areas we probably would have accomplished a lot more towards exterminating terrorism (which I don’t believe can truly be accomplished). Billions of dollars (and many more) will be wasted on our efforts in Iraq.

  45. Not a good situation whether you’re a democrat, republican, or just apathetic. Now that we’re there we have to stay, to leave would mean a bloodbath worse than what we are seeing now. The reason it matters is BECAUSE OUR SOLDIERS AND CITIZENS ARE DYING, in ever increasing numbers. These are Mothers, Fathers, ordinary people like you & me. The Administration has been trying to keep the public’s minds off the deaths by prohibiting pictures of the returning caskets, but as the numbers increase the public will become aroused. If we continue to see urban fighting on the Network newscasts it won’t take long for the Anti-War demonstrations to start. Lots more will die if things turn into an Iran situation. If the general populace in Iraq gets behind one of these pretend Ayatollahs like Sadr there aren’t enough troops in the world to stop them. If that happens all you porn surfing x-box playing young folks will have your head taken out of the sand when you’re drafted into the Army and sent to a place you can’t even imagine, and the violence you will see won’t be pretend, and you won’t be able to get an extra life once you lose the game.
The next President will have no choice but to stay in Iraq, just another reason to be suspicious of Dubbya. After all, he can say he’s a war president and we shouldn’t change leaders in mid-stream. The problem many have with Bush is his tunnel-vision with respect to Iraq. The day after 911 he told Clark to connect it to the Iraquis & Saddam. Go back & read Rise & Fall of the 3rd Reich by Shirer, this was the same ploy Hitler used to invade Austria & Czechoslavakia in the 30’s.

  47. ok, my two cents:
bombing a country for whatever reason is just plain wrong. Sadaam was a dictator and he was exploiting his country and that’s a bitch, but no country has the right to go there and do whatever they please in the name of "justice" and stuff.

You don’t even know if iraqui people was happy that way. Bush in fact is an idiot, he and only he is the one who should be getting bombed.

Im sorry so many ppl died on 9/11 but that’s the lamest excuse to start a war (along with never found/well known weapons of massive destruction).

Look what happened to spain due to the stupidy of their president too!

And yeah i dont wanna get into a flame war with no one, but "Another Joe": your people kills my people(mexicans) for NO reason at all and where not bombing you or crashing planes on your country, are we? Don’t you just hate your country?

He was no different than Sadaam. We were justified then and we are justified NOW. We lost a hell of alot more young men in on the beaches of Normandy alone than we have in a year and a half in Irag. The whole problem with this country is we have become a bunch of PUSSIES! We listen to the bias left wing talking heads on the idiot box every night, and have lost the ability to think for ourselves! I have sorrow for the families of the KIA but 600 dead is a small price to pay for the security of our country. It’s funny that you call people who don’t believe that this war is justified pussies. You probably aren’t even in the military. It’s easy to fight the war second hand by watching war movies, reading history books, and playing paintball. But when it comes down to it you won’t go to war and serve your country. You are just like the rest of the Right wingers –> Hypocrits. If you’re so for this war then go fight and stop having other people do it for you. And in the words of George W. This thread had too many dumb people on it, but it also had alot of really though out well formed answers and criticsms, which quite honestly surprised me…. especially on this site. But that doesn’t change the fact that this post was lacking in the hot naked factor. So when we write about oil in Iraq, lets included links to lesbians wrestling in baby oil. And when we talk about Iraq’s opression of women, lets include links to hot naked middle eastern chicks bringing shame upon their families.
We all have to look ahead a bit more, and ask ourselves one important question… "How can i relate this to boobies?"
Answer that, and everyone will pay more attention to what you say.

  57. The UN is a bunch of pussies. I could stand in front of one of there tanks and they would sit there forever waiting for me to move. They are peacekeepers where there is already peace. I also said that all Jews were democrats as a joke. Democrats never want to go to war. When you insult the intelligence of our President when he can’t pronounce the names of a few countries ask yourself how many people actually can. Also the fact that when you say war isn’t justied just because they aren’t in the military why do we have a military? I have a friend that was in the military and he knew at any moment his life could be put at risk. It would be a different story if you were drafted into the military against your will and we were attacking a country that hasn’t done anything wrong. For those of you that say that the people in Iraq were happy or that we don’t know that they weren’t, have you heard some of the people from Iraq. What about the people Saddam tried to wipe out?

I mean, this is the New York Post we’re talking about, which is about as good a source of actual news as Justin’s or my webpages. … actually, Justin’s page is a lot like one of those papers in London with the Page 3 girls, but you get the idea.

Anyway. Paranoia is patriotic, and quoting Connery quoting Oscar Wilde, "Patriotism is the virtue of the vicious."

  62. if i were to list the most dangerous men in the world, it would have to be in this order:
    5. kim jong il
    4. clay aiken*
    3. osama bin laden
    2. barney the dinosaur*
    1. george w bush
(*admittedly, numbers 2 and 4 may not be men)
bushs total disregard for the truth, his reckless attitude towards the rest of the world ("bring it on"??? that kind of ignorant bravado has NO place in world politics), and the ability of those around him to lead him like a sheep owing to his complete lack of original ideas (or ideas, at all for that matter) makes him the most dangerous man alive today. the man with his finger on the button can’t even pronouce nuclear. this is the man who asks the tough questions like "is our children learning" and comes out on terror as such: "there is madmen in the world, and there are terror". (source:begala,2000) they impeached clinton for a blowjob, but they let this guy get away with murder.
