Me posting about EMO and then all of this happening.
If i had an LJ, i’d probably be like:
Mood: EMO
Music: Justin Timberlake – Cry me a river

To quote me:
You know, there is some irony in this post. I’m afraid Justin might be emo now (and I wouldn’t blame him b/c breaking up sucks).

"My sage advice: do not ever give yourself wholly to another; never love anyone with all your heart. If you do, she will abuse your generosity and violate your trust." – What a healthy way to look at things.

Sorry Justin. Love hurts. Here’s the short version: 12 years married, 2 kids. In front of god and everyone we swore ourselves to each other and even had a side agreement not to involve 3rd parties. She met someone at work and they must have hit it off – scheduled business trips together, etc. and etc. Now I’m ever so slowly building back from emotional and financial ruin. I’m stronger, yes, but am so angry that this is the first fine example of love and marriage that my son and daughter know. My sage advice: do not ever give yourself wholly to another; never love anyone with all your heart. If you do, she will abuse your generosity and violate your trust. Blind love is dumb love. I’ve liked and loved women since then (not just ridiculous party hook-ups, really), but will always be emotionally distant and not fully engaged in any relationship. It would take me more than a lifetime to get ever my disappointment, disillusionment and sadness, but I have only one. I hope you’re more resilient, and that you’re starting from a more objective and organized basis. If it’s any comfort to you, I can state with certainty that I no longer love her, and it’s better that way. Good luck.

You won’t believe this yet, but you’re better off. In 5-6 weeks, you’ll see for yourself. Just don’t try to "win" her back, there isn’t any way it will do any good for either party.
