Now i normally don’t just buy new phones whenever i feel like it. I usually wait until my current phone is either dead, dying or broken to shit.
The Samsung S24+ i got about two years ago is still running fine, still good as new. No cracks, no dents, all good.
But then Samsung just had to go and make the Fold 8.
The Flip never interested me and the Fold Ultras have always been way too expensive for me to justify spending that kind of money on a phone.
But this new Fold 8 and that weird in between form factor… that’s new and quirky enough for me to just go, “why the heck not?”
It’s still a fricking $2000+ phone though, holy shit. Phone prices these days… that’s just crazy.
I got the 512GB/12GB RAM model. The 1TB/16GB RAM model is like $2500 what the fuck.
I got the purple one because purple is my favorite color.
Actually it’s not very purple at all really. Samsung calls it Lavender.
I’m still setting the phone up, transferring over all my shit from my S24+. The Fold 8 feels pretty cute in hand. It feels like a tiny iPad mini.

still need to get used to the form factor, especially the split keyboard when unfolded.
apps like facebook and ig feel weirdly bigger AND smaller at the same time, at least on the front screen.
like, the text is small but the images are big..!
