Swank did “The Gift” and “Insomnia” after “Boys Don’t Cry” but before “The Core”, so she doesn’t fit.
Worst movie choices following Oscar win? Cuba Gooding Jr…hands down. “Snow Dogs”, “Boat Trip”, “Rat Race”, need I go on?
A bigger thing to puzzle is why the secret to winning best actress seems to be to star in an ‘edgy’ drama and have the starlet be nude.

While I did enjoy seeing Gwyneth sans clothing, Shakespeare in Love was neither edgy nor a drama.

The lip thing is just how people look when they are forced to smile and in a more relaxed natural smile it is less likely to happen. When I’m busy giving her a hot meat injection it will be a real smile on her face.
The secret of Oscar winner to action movie dross is pretty simple. They do a big arty worthy film then they get back to doing crappy movies to pay for their coke habit. Winner oscars in the meantime is incidental to decisions they made ealier way earlier about their next movie role.

Nic Cage went from Leaving Las Vegas to The Rock.
i think ben affleck said it best when he said “You gotta do the safe picture, then you do the art picture” (in jay and silent bob strikes back).
of course it’s the other way round in this case.
Was Daredevil Affleck’s best movie? I think so.
Lotsa times actors have already signed on for or made a crappy film before they get their Oscar. $$ is another reason.

yeah jamie foxx only has a small part in stealth, but because of ray they’re hyping it like he’s the star. stealth was going to be a throw away summer crap flick, but now it’ll be a throw away summer crap flick that’s marketed towards black people.
hmmmm… I’m actor Y, I make Z per movie, I get an oscar, I’m offered Zx10 for a shitty movie… I’m a human and therefore like money… problem solved
