Well if you haven’t already heard, it looks like the jig is up for Alias, which just got officially cancelled. They’re still gonna air all of season 5’s episodes, but beyond that, no more Alias. I haven’t really followed the show all the way through. I’ve only seen season 1 and i’m about 4 episodes into season 2 on DVD. I hear it’s all downhill from season 3 onwards though. Something that’s probably bound to happen with that other J.J Abrams show…
Threshold got cancelled too which is a shame for Carla Gugino. First Karen Cisco, now Threshold. No word yet on if they’re gonna air the rest of the episodes they’ve made thus far.
Speaking of TV, i bought a whole bunch of TV on DVD boxsets last night. I got the first three volumes of the X-Files Mythology sets (Abduction, Black Oil and Colonization). I think volume 4 (Super Soldiers) just came out not too long ago but i didn’t see it on the store shelves. I also picked up season 1 of Veronica Mars. Completely bare bones set but Kristen Bell is TEH SEX. I will fap to her in Spartan after i’m done writing this post.
I also bought seasons 1 and 2 of One Tree Hill a coupla weeks ago, which i haven’t even watched. I don’t know why i even bought those seeing as to how i have absolutely zero interest in wanting to watch the show, be it on TV or on DVD. But hey, i got them both for super cheap bootlegged so it’s no skin off my back.
Now if i can only find the time to actually watch all these DVDs. I still have Desperate Housewives season 1, Alias season 2, The 4400 season 1, The O.C season 1, Millenium season 1 and Kingpin to finish watching.
First fappers!!!

I don’t see how anyone ever watches that much TV or plays all of these video games. Yeah, I got the plasma flat screen hookup and the DVD, even got the new Xbox, which is a must with the widescreen hi def set up, but I still listen to music 90% of the time. I’d give it al lup before i’d ever give up my Ipod.

oh yeah and i also bought war of the worlds (DAKOTA FANNING!!!), batman begins and the skeleton key last night.
and i bought the new 50 cent videogame today. it totally sucks (6.5 on ign) but the cutscenes are awesome and there’s tons of extras that come with the game (unreleased tracks, music videos).
i also listen to music 0% of the time so i guess kinda helps out with the dvd watching and videogame playing.

I suppose that listening to no music is better than listening to BAD music. Different strokes, blah blah…

Dude you seriously need to get laid.Double time your ass to the local whore house.

You buy all those shitty ass shows, and yet still manage to resist Arrested Development. That’s a shame.

Kingpin producers cut is amazing. That show was so good and should have been kept on the air. SO much better than the fucking shitty ass wop fest Sopranos.
#2 needs a slap.
One Tree Hill is not gay because it features the delightful and gifted Chad Michael Murray.
Why do people always say ‘you need to get laid’? Can’t a guy fuck a girl and watch TV at the same time? Or is that too much for you losers to handle?

#8, I don’t need to be slapped. I just wa always into music and books more than games and such and i think there is nothing wrong with having different interests then the norm, whatever that is.

#8 – My girl always complains when I watch TV while putting it to her.

Pick up Seasons 1 & 2 of Arrested Development. One of the hippest shows – no doubt.

Dude, One Tree Hill is good. Sophia Bush is SO freakin’ hot.

The OC season 1 was okay because it was quick and fresh but it has gone downhill fast, oh and I’d hit Mischa “needs a sammich” Barton anyday. As if the ghost of 90210 wasn’t obvious enough by season 2 they already have the Peach Pit/Bait Shop to waste time advertising music in every episode.
One Tree Hill should have been called “White Bread Hill” and not just because it is bland. They clearly didn’t have much of a plan but the show keeps plodding along nicely but without ever being brilliant. Bet it outlasts the OC.

I haven’t watched the first three seasons of Alias, but season 4 sucked. Season 5 is a lot better than 4, but that’s not too difficult. Every episode of Alias is the same except for the location. At least this season has Rachel Nichols.
Unfortunately, I think you’re right about Lost crashing and burning, but that might happen before the end of this season. Season 2 of Lost is just plain worse than season 1.
Veronica Mars, however, is still as awesome as ever. Kristen Bell is definitely cute. I think I need to change my gravatar to Kristen Bell. It’s so stupid that you have to wait for your gravatar to be rated.

Yourblueroom,
Um…it’s than not then and you’re interests aren’t exactly extraordinary, just not usual for this site.
Some of the best writing of the past 10 years has been on TV. After that Kavalier and Clay crap won a Pulitzer in 2001 I hung up on literature pretty much all together.

#15, then go back and read some of the classics, some nonfiction. I’d not be the first to cry out the death of modern fiction but I find that I enjoy older works a lot more then anything recent that I have read recently. Though, nonfiction remains a vital and entertaining (and educational…GASP) way to enjoy reading.

Alias being cancelled is sadness, though I’m not really surprised. I just wish that they could end on a stronger note than a “pregnancy” season. Boo. Ending with a sixth season would have been nice. Oh well.

It’s about time they put Alias out of it’s misery… the whole Rambaldi plot went no where and the whole spy mission of the week was getting tired…
You should have picked up some Curb Your Enthusiasm on DVD… that shit is funny

It’s just as well that Alias is cancelled, but Threshold, no! I was really getting into that show and Carla Gugino is freakin’ hot. So sad :(.
#21 | Comment by Vasosta — November 30, 2005 @ 10:38 am
Threshold is balls. Not even the mighty rack of Gugino could save it.
Taking over the world by sperm bank – stupid fucking aliens.
