Just as in Sin City, some of Hollywood’s finest hotties lined up to appear in the upcoming movie adaptation of Will Eisner’s The Spirit which is being directed by Frank Miller and set for release in January 2009.
Scarlett Johansson, Eva Mendes, Jaime King, and Paz Vega are the key actresses in the film. A few costuming test shots as well as some stills from the highly green-screened sets have begun to leak to the internets.
I’m not really all that familiar with the story, but I’ll probably catch this one next year.
ps. Apparently, lots of other sites got the dreaded C&D from Lionsgate over these pics, so let’s just keep them between us, k? Shhhh…

Looks like it will be a good one, since Sin City was incredible. Don’t know the story of this one either, but any movie that puts ScarJo in a naughty nurse’s outfit and has Eva Mendes popping out of the water dressed in all black leather is fine with me.

15, Nice to know I’m not the only person who thinks of that comic when I think of Frank Miller.
I’m sort of tossed up on the movie, I have no doubt the women in it’ll be hot.
But Frank Miller tends to be extremely hit or miss as a writer, and I hope he’ll do The Spirit as EISNERS Spirit and not MILLERS Spirit.
