I got exams to sit for this Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. I've got a plane to catch on Friday afternoon. And when i get home Friday night, i'm gonna call up Sophie and talk till my ear falls off. Or at least try to anyway. I'll probably be as tired as fuck.
And on Saturday, i'll be goin' up to the city to spend some time with her. Probably won't be posting much. I dunno. Maybe i'll lug around my Powerbook again like i did this past April. And post whenever i get the chance. Which is highly unlikely. The last time i spent time with Sophie, i just totally left the site to rot. So yeah, forgive me if the site just goes to shit within the next coupla weeks.
One last month with her. Gotta make the most of it you know?
Not letting it go - 6:28am July 30 2001
The way i see, i was trying to look after his back. He was being fucking used for God's sake. She was taking advantage of him dammit. Everybody saw that. Sure, maybe i should've been minding my own business and all but i just couldn't bear to see him being played like a fucking videogame like that. I mean for crying out loud, if you thought that her asking me to help her book a flight ticket to Singapore thing was bad, how about the time when she made out and fucked this other 14 year old chick on some bed in some place somewhere. And she's like... what? 17? 18? And not only that, a friend of mine who happened to be there, who, incidently is a friend of my best friend's too, fucking JOINED IN. A three-way man. Right behind my best friend's back. I have absolutely no idea if they were still going out at the time but fucking hell man. It's just not on.
I mean, it was bad enough that i heard about all of this from another friend of mine who was actually in England at the time that all happened, but i also heard it from this guy that i know that goes to college here with me in Malaysia. Her sexploits aren't just locally known... no... they're fuckin' internationally known.
The stupid thing is that he actually probably KNOWS that she's cheating on him... and he just let's it slide. I've seen them get into fights and go through all that make up break up shit. And he was clearly unhappy having to go through all of that. And that was just with the trivial shit. Imagine the fight was about her being in a three-way.
Sorry if i'm coming off as being an asshole here but seriously, stuff like that just pisses me off. But hey, it's not my problem. I don't really have any say if my best friend wants to live with the legacy of having been with one of the biggest sluts in South East Asia.
All i'm saying is that i was just trying to look out for him. But he decided to go on his own way. So i went on my own way too.
I was back home for a month in April. I thought about calling him up and shit. Maybe getting together. But i never did. It just wouldn't've been the same. I think he was still with her at the time. I dunno. I'm not too sure. But if she was, i probably couldn't have handled it too well knowing that she's still 'around'.
He's leavin' for England soon. And i'll be leavin' for Michigan eventually. Probably won't be able to see him like... ever again or some shit like that but fuck it you know?
Just fuck it.

Hi,
This will sound odd and I don't know if you know the answer, but has Jennifer Connelly had breast implants? My boyfriend says she did because she's too thin to have that nice a rack. Erm.. that's all I wanted to know. :)
thanks
Josephine
----------------
Jennifer Connelly? Breasts implants? Now as far as i know, i don't think she's ever had any kind of breast augmentation. I've certainly never read or heard anything about her getting a boob job or anything like that so yeah, i guess they really are hers. And if they aren't, well damn, that's probably the pair of fake breasts i've ever seen.
So yeah, unless anybody else can prove me wrong, i'd say they were real alright.

It's PG-13, originally there was a nude scene or two, but that would of
given it an R rating, which they didn't want because they'd make less money.
Shouldn't be too long before you get the nudity you want. heh.
http://sc.uptohere.net/
---------------
That's what i thought. Because i remembered reading somewhere that the movie was gonna have some nude scenes and all that but i guess they just left it on the cutting room floor. Which is a bummer really. An R rating wouldn't have been so bad. It would've still make money... if not even more. I mean, wouldn't audiences actually be flocking to see the movie if it had a naked Kirsten Dunst in it? I know i would.
But yeah, maybe in her next few movies. Maybe not in Spiderman but some other movie after that one i guess.
In other news, i couldn't help but notice this little comment that someone left in my abuse box:
>r u gay? cause this site is too girly for a guy
What? Would you prefer me having pictures of Brad Pitt on the site or something?
No. I'm not gay if that's what you're asking.
Ass.

My Chasing Amy story - 6:28am July 29 2001
Remember how i talked about me being able to relate to the story being told in Chasing Amy? About how i knew what Banky and Holden must've felt like and all that jazz? Those of you who actually read my posts (and not just come here for the porn) might remember but anyway, a (what i personally consider to be a) good lesbian friend of mine from Florida (i shit you not), after reading my post, e-mailed asking me how in the hell i could possibly relate to those characters. Because as far as she knew, i didn't seem like the type to have had experienced such... 'outlandish' experiences... as experienced by Banky and Holden in Chasing Amy.
Actually, to be perfectly honest, my Chasing Amy story isn't exactly just one whole big story. It's actually made up of two stories that happened at two different points in my life in which if you were to 'merge' together, would make up a story that all but mirrors the events in Chasing Amy the movie. Somewhat.
So yeah, two stories from two perspectives. Let's call one 'The Banky Perspective' and the other, 'The Holden Perspective'.
The Banky Perspective.
So in the movie, Banky and Holden are best friends. Always together etc etc... you know the deal. Then Alyssa comes into Holden's life. Banky accepts Alyssa at first but after a while, he just starts getting pissed off at her for coming in between his friendship with Holden. And screwing Holden up in Banky's eyes.
I was once in that kinda situation. With me basically being the 'Banky' character. I had a best friend. Would always hang out with him, talk about movies and WWF and shit. Calling him a tubby bitch, a fag, a fucker, an ass etc etc. It was almost like a Jay and Silent Bob kinda thing. With me being sorta like Jay (always talking shit about Silent Bob) and him being... well... Silent Bob (and always taking in all my shit without really saying anything).
Come to think about it, we really were kinda like Jay and Silent Bob. With me being the tall thin obnoxious guy and him being a fat tubby bitch.
I was only really in my 'Jay mode' whenever i was around him. Other than that, i'd usually just be my boring ass self.
Anyway, back to the Banky situation. I'm Banky and my best friend's Holden. One day, my best friend meets this chick. They get along and start seeing each other. Now she's a fairly hot chick but the problem is that she was also like the biggest slut in the country. Believe me, she was well known for her exploits. Or should i say, sexploits. Anyway, i kinda accepted her at first. Talked to her and stuff. Even lent her my copy of The Blair Witch Project on ORIGINAL VCD. The movie apparently scared the crap out of her. She thought it was real. I, being the bastard that i was, even told her it was real (even though it clearly wasn't). And that made her even more freaked out by it.
After a while, she found out that it was all fake and she started hitting me.
But anyway, my best friend's a good guy. Like a really REALLY good guy. He was probably the only guy i could ever really 'connect' with. We shared the same passions (movies, chicks etc etc) and pretty much understood each other.
(Boy, those last two sentences sure sounded perverse)
Then SHE had to come along and ruin everything. SHE wasn't exactly what one would call a 'good' person. She's 'been around'. She's 'bad news'. She's the village bicycle. Everyone's had a ride. My best friend deserved better. Here's a good guy... going out with a 'bad' chick. And pretty much everybody knew that she was 'bad' news. Eventually even he himself knew it too. But he still stuck with her.
Sure she was nice and all but she was such a... slutty kinda person you know? The type of girl who'd bare her cleavage at any opportune moment, a girl would purposely bend down and stick her ass out for the whole world to see, a girl who would willing show ANYBODY the tattoo that she had on her breast. She was exactly the opposite of what one would want my best friend to look for in a girl.
I just basically felt like Banky. Having a girl that you don't like going out with your best friend.
And just like Banky and Holden, my best friend and i got into fights about him going out with THAT GIRL.
To his credit though, being the fat tubby bitch that he was, i really did feel... proud for him i guess... that he actually could get a hot chick like her all for himself. It's just that she wasn't exactly a 'good' girl you know? I mean, this was a girl who came up to me asking me to help her find a travel agent to book a flight to Singapore so that she could see this other guy that she'd been 'in contact' with and 'friends' with behind my best friend's back. She also told me as she 'danced' for people to actually raise that money for the flight ticket to see that other guy. Frankly, she just made me fucking sick to my stomach after she told me all that stuff.
To cut a long story short, me and THAT GIRL fucking hated each other's guts after a while. I'd be referring to her as a slut right in my best friend's face and she'd be calling me an asshole and some other presumably nastier shit. It wasn't pretty.
We all never did get along after that. Me and my best friend kinda grew apart (like Banky and Holden in Chasing Amy), me and THAT GIRL never really resolved our issues (even though my best friend forced us to apologize to each other... kinda like in Chasing Amy) and everything just slowly fell apart. That fat tubby bitch was probably the bestest friend i ever had. And to THAT GIRL'S credit, she really wasn't as bad as i thought of her. I know that now. But at the time, i just fucking despised her and everything that she stood for.
My (good) best friend falling for a (bad) 'experienced' girl with me not being able to accept the whole thing.
Almost exactly like what Banky in Chasing Amy went through.
This all happened about a year and a half ago. Sometime between February 2000 to September 2000 right before i left for WMU. I haven't really spoken to my (ex) best friend since. And to my knowledge, he's still with THAT GIRL to this day. And she's STILL doing stuff behind his back. And not only that, last i heard, she's also sorta 'corrupted' him and brought him over to 'the dark side'. So to speak. Got him drinking and doing other presumably 'bad' stuff. Or so i heard.
He's leaving for England this September. I'll be back home for the whole of August. I'll be able to see him again for at least one last time before i leave for Michigan at the end of the year. Haven't seen him in almost 12 months now.
But i don't know if i want to.
The Holden Perspective
This is how i can relate to Holden's story. But before going any further, i'd just like to point out that this next story has abosolutely no connection whatsoever with that last story up there. This is an entirely different situation.
So anyway, most of you regular readers probably know by now that i'm currently in a relationship with this girl back home. We've got a long distance kinda thing going on for now but i'll be back home for about a month this August and i'll probably be spending most of my time with her. What with it all being the last month i'll ever be able to see her again for the next coupla years. With me leaving for Michigan this December. And her leaving back for Australia this November. Well... she was gonna move back to Austrlia anyway. But her plans have slightly changed recently and she's staying where she is right now for another 2 more years...
But that's besides the point. It's kinda tough to summarize the whole nature of our relationship without turning this post into a full fledged novel. So for those of you who're actually interested (or have nothing else better to do), you could always start reading the archives from April the 19th onwards. There're quite a number of posts there detailing how i came to be with be her and what the exact circumstances of our relationsip are.
But anyway, back to my being able to relate Ben Affleck's character in Chasing Amy.
Like Holden, i'm just a regular average Joe. I am, what Jay would refer to as, boring. It's true. I am. It probably doesn't seem that way (not from reading my site anyway) but i am a godawfully bore inducing guy. I'm not really a party person (although i have been to a few), i'm not a people person, i don't really go 'out', i don't clubbing or raving or whatever, i'm not a smoker, i'm not a drinker, i can't hold up a decent conversation to save my life, i'm quiet as fuck, i'm reserved as fuck, i go into this stupid 'silent mode' whenever i'm with a group of people in public places and above all, i am just plain old BORING.
Have i stressed out that last point enough already?
Like Alyssa, the girl that i'm currently with, is experienced. She has a past that is so colorful, it makes mine just seem monochrome.
What am i saying? My past is monochrome compared to hers. Granted, unlike Alyssa, the girl i'm with isn't gay. Nor was her past nearly as salacious as Alyssa's. And i've never fallen in love with a lesbian for that matter.
Not that i know of anyway.
But the core of it all still remains unchanged though. Me, a 'normal' guy, falling for a girl who leads a much more exciting lifestyle than i could ever live up to and has a past that frankly, outshines anything i've ever done.
In all fairness, my experience with her isn't exactly situation for situation with what happens between Alyssa and Holden in Chasing Amy but for most of the part, i felt almost exactly what Holden must've felt like in the way that i could find similarities between my real life experience with his onscreen experience.
That last sentence probably makes no sense but what the heck.
I'm always dreading the day when she'll finally realize that i'm not all that i'm cut out to be.
Let me rephrase that. You see... i'm not exactly what i would believe to be 'her type'. I actually know some of the guys she's been out with before she met me. And they're all pretty cool guys for most of the part. Not as infinitely boring as i am that's for sure.
Basically, i just feel like i can't live up to her expectations. I personally don't really know what her expectations are or if she even has any but i just feel really inadequate being with her. Like i don't really belong where i am with her. In fact, there've been many a time where i feel like i don't even deserve to be in the same room with her. She's beautiful, she's well known, she's literally stalked after by pretty much every guy that sees her (no joke) and she's just really really nice when you get to know her.
In fact, her brother (also a friend of mine who's since left back for Australia) once told her that i wasn't 'her type'.
He probably resented the fact that that i was actually going out with his sister. But that's another story...
Which is probably true really. About the 'me not being her type' thing. At least i believe so anyway. I could be wrong though. In fact, i've been told by her that i'm definitely wrong for thinking that. Which i probably am. But i like to think of myself as a fairly realistic guy. Which pretty much translates to me being slightly pessimistic.
Okay maybe even VERY pessimistic.
Annoyingly pessimistic.
But that's besides the point. I'm kinda sidetracking from the issue at hand here. You know, the whole Holden situation similarity thing... all that. But yeah, basically, that's pretty much how i feel my experience relates to Holden's experience. The whole, 'falling in love with a girl with a past' kinda thing. Again, it's not exactly situation for situation as to what it's actually like in Chasing Amy but basically, there are some similarities... however small they may be. And i can relate to those similarities. To how Holden felt like in the movie.
I just hope that i don't screw things up with her. I have a propensity to screw things up royally sometimes. Most of the time without knowing it until it's too late.
You may have noticed that i haven't actually been mentioning any names throughout this post. I just thought i'd keep those people involved nameless. Although it isn't really that hard to figure out who they actually (If you're a regular reader or if you read through the backlogs. Or archives... as some people would like to call them).
So yeah anyway, Jen, if you're reading this... that's basically how i feel i can relate to story being told in Chasing Amy. Basically.
Sure, it's not exactly the be all end all of experiential stories and my Chasing Amy story probably sounds NOTHING like the actual Chasing Amy story itself, but basically, i've been through what the characters in that movie went though.
Basically.
And if any of you are wondering, no, the Jen i'm talking about is NOT the Jen that runs this site. Yes, they both live in Florida but one of them's a lesbian. The other, is not.
(Thank God. There's still hope...)

E-mail - 2:01pm July 28 2001
There's really no point in me posting up this particular e-mail and i don't really have any witty comebacks to offer in reply but i just thought i'd put it up here anyway. Because it strokes my ego like a motherfucker. Besides, i know some of you out there actually get a kick out of being able to read my reader e-mail so... yeah.

Hallo to Malaysia.
Man, your website just rocks! It's like a diamond in a pile of ashes.
You know what I mean, it is so damn hard to find a cool-designed
funny-and-interesting-to-read site these days. You wont believe the
way I found your site. Bought myself a brand new Ericsson t29 a few
days ago and I was looking for a page with some hints.
well, badinagoodway.com popped up on my screen and I dont
regret. i even forgot about what i had been looking for ;)
keep it up man, at least one dude up there in the heart of Europe
(.cz it is actually) has something cool to read while bored at work
during such a damn friday afternoon.
cheers

With that being said, i wonder if people will stop coming here after they finally realize that all i ever talk about is movies these days...
Kirsten Dunst - 6:22am July 28 2001
Saw Crazy/Beautiful after watching Apes. I love Kirsten Dunst. I love Kirsten Dunst movies. I love Kirsten Dunst for doing this movie. Okay sure... Crazy/Beautiful's not exactly that good of a movie but hey, it's still a Kirsten Dunst flick. And i like it. I like it not only because of the fact that she NEVER wears a bra throughout the entire movie... but also because she NEVER wears a bra thoughout the entire movie.
Wait.
Nevermind.
Anyway, i took some choice screen caps. They won't exactly set the whole world ablaze but hey, they're good enough for some cheap thrills.
My wife.
Kirsten sure has some racy scenes in this movie. I think it's rated R but i'm not quite sure. But if it is, it's still not R enough 'cause there's no nudity. Well, technically there IS one shot of Kirsten like... totally naked sort of... but her arm's blocking 'the view'. If you know what i mean.
One can only hope that she does a Katie Holmes in one of her next movies.
Anyway, Crazy/Beautiful ain't too hot of a movie. It's starts off pretty well i guess... what with Kirsten not wearing a bra AT ALL in ALL of her scenes... but the second half of the movie kinda falters. The first half at least had a good set up and a braless Kirsten Dunst to look forward to. But in the second half... the plot's kinda messed up a bit. But Kirsten still braless so yeah, that makes it okay. Barely.
But seriously, bralessness notwithstanding, Crazy/Beautiful's just an okay movie i guess. It's a damn sight better than that piece of shit Save The Last Dance that's for sure...
God that movie irritates the shit out of me.
Bring It On is still the ultimate Kirsten Dunst movie. And it's also one of the best DVD's that i own too.
Anyway, i have an exam coming up next Tuesday. I'll be busy studying for the rest of the weekend.
Planet Of The Apes - 3:06am July 28 2001
Watched it last night. It's actually a pretty cool movie. It's as campy as hell but it's cool. I liked it. It's kinda like a big budget low budget movie. If there's ever such a thing. But yeah, i really thought it was a cool movie. Not cool as in The Matrix kinda cool... but just... cool nonetheless. It's fast paced, funny, campy and there's hardly any 'dead space' y'know what i mean? In fact, i don't remember even getting bored once. Unlike Tomb Raider before... which practically bored me to tears.
The makeup effects in Apes i thought were really good. Some of them do look pretty hokey (e.g. the more humanoid apes) but the more 'ape-y' ones look really real. Basically, the good apes look crap. But the bad apes... wow, they look fucking good. They're pretty badass too. Fucking ruthless i tell you. But since it's a PG-13 movie, most of the violence is shown offscreen. Boo.
But anyway, i just have to comment on this one thing in the movie. This is gonna be a potential spoiler so yeah, skip this next paragraph if you don't want things spoiled for you. Highlight if you wanna read:
*SPOILER START*
Okay so i'm guessing EVERYBODY knows that famous line of dialogue in the original Planet Of The Apes movie right? You know... that "...DAMN DIRTY APE..." line. Well, i almost bust my gut when i heard the same line in this new Tim Burton Apes remake. I mean, there i was, looking out for that scene to come up and expecting Mark Wahlberg to say "GET YOUR HANDS OFF ME YOU DAMN DIRTY APE!" and what exactly happens in the movie? Mark Wahlberg gets his ass kicked and is crawling over to this one ape. He grabs the ape's leg and what does the ape say? "GET YOUR HANDS OFF ME YOU DAMN DIRTY HUMAN!". HAHAHAHAHA. Oh boy. Damn that was a good one. You just have to hear it for yourself. Fucking classic.
*SPOILER END*
I'm sure a lot of people are gonna be comparing the new Apes to the old Apes (The movie i mean. Not the 'Apes' themselves). Now i'd probably have something to say about how the new one fares next to the old one and i'd probably say something about it right now... if i'd only actually seen the old Apes. Yeah, that's right. I've actually never seen ANY of the old Apes movies. I mean, sure, i've seen them on TV and stuff... but i've never really watched them.
I dunno, the old Apes movies never really appealed to me. I know that they're classics and all (well... the first one maybe) and i'm probably missing out but i've just never had the desire to check any of em out. But for the record, i do know that in the old Apes, you get to see the Statue of Liberty at the end. And of course, i do know about that "...DAMN DIRTY APE..." line. But other than that, zilch. So yeah, having not actually seen the old one, i can't really make any comparisons with the new one.
One complaint about the new movie: the new updated ending... it's confusing. I dunno. Maybe it's just me, but i just don't get how the hell the Apes...
*SPOILER START*
... could rule the earth even BEFORE Mark Wahlberg fucked up by getting sucked into that... time warp thingy. I dunno. It's kinda hard to explain. You'll just have to see it for yourself.
*SPOILER END*
It's just really fucked up. Just go watch the movie and tell me if you didn't come out of the movie feeling as confused as i was.
But anyway, it's a cool flick. Won't exactly set the world on fire but hey, it's worth watching just for that...
*SPOILER START*
"GET YOUR HANDS OFF ME YOU DAMN DIRTY HUMAN!" line.
*SPOILER END*
Fuckin' hilarious i tell you.

Damn dirty apes - 8:55pm July 27 2001
Speaking of all things damned and dirty, the new Planet Of The Apes movie opens today. So on a whim, i decided to check out those car boot sales to see if i could get a bootleg of the flick . And wouldn't you know it, that damn dirty flick's already out on VCD! In fact, it's been out on VCD for a coupla days now. So yeah, needless to say, i got myself a copy. I also got a copy of Crazy/Beautiful and The Score.
All for the price of about US$5. Good deal no?
No need to explain why i bought Crazy/Beautiful. My wife, Kirsten Dunst, is in it. I would've actually picked this one up earlier as it's actually been out on bootleg for ages now but the earlier copies had crap picture quality. Or so i was told. So i just held out till that car boot sales guy could get a hold of a better copy.
The Score. Edward Norton. Robert Deniro. I don't actually know that much about this movie. I just bought it on impulse. Hope it ain't shit.
I would've taken some screenshots from all three movies but i couldn't be fucked. I'll watch em all tonight and i'll probably get some shots on the site tomorrow or something. I dunno.
We'll see.
In other news, it seems that i've somehow misplaced my webcam software install CD. So it looks like there won't be any new webcam shots for a while.
Not till i can find that damn dirty CD anyway.
Ooh. I got a haircut today for the first time in 2 months. And it looks like fucking crap. Which is just so fucking great.
Damn dirty barber.
Damn dirty viruses - 8:54am July 27 2001
Those virus e-mails that're going around are starting to annoy me. Damn things are clogging up my inbox every single fucking day.
In other news, i've been getting a rough average of about 950+/- hits a day for the past 4 days.
Not bad.
Insert post title here - 8:33am July 27 2001
Free at last. Well... free-er anyway. At least till my finals are over. Which'll be exactly in a week's time. Which coincidently, will also be on the day i'll be getting on a plane and flying back home for the hoildays.
Anyway, big news for me. I finally got Mallrats on DVD. And not only that, i also got Chasing Amy on DVD too. And not only THAT, but i also got Thirteen Days on DVD, which, while not exactly being a Kevin Smith movie, is still pretty cool in itself since it's the first of the new New Line Infinifilm DVD releases. Unless... if you count Little Nicky as being the first Infinifilm DVD. Of course, the Infinifilm feature on Little Nicky wasn't actually documented and only exists as an easter egg but that's besides the point. Thirteen Days is the first official Infinifilm release.
So yeah. I'm halfway there to completing my Kevin Smith DVD collection. Now i only need Dogma: Special Edition and Clerks (which i have already ordered and should be able to pick up when i get back to Malaysia after my upcoming holiday).
Anyway, i picked up my Mallrats and Chasing Amy exactly two days ago and so far, i've watched Mallrats for a total of 5 times and Chasing Amy for a total of 4 times (You can tell i LIKE watching movies). I've pretty much gone through the whole Chasing Amy disc. It didn't really have as many extras as the Mallrats disc but that's not to say that the disc was crap, no way. It's a Criterion DVD for God's sake. Anytime you see the words 'The Criterion Collection' on ANYTHING, it's just quality stuff all the way man.
It's no big secret that i've never actually seen Chasing Amy prior to my purchasing it on DVD. Obviously, i've finally watched it and goddamn it's a good movie. That movie mirrors my past (and current) experiences so much... that it's not even funny. Okay sure, so maybe i've never actually fallen in love with a lesbian before (at least not that i know of) but some of the stuff that happens in this movie just fucking echoes some of the stuff i've been through in the past (and am going through right this moment).
Ben Affleck's and Jason Lee's characters man... i can fucking relate to how both of them felt throughout the entire movie. The 'girl coming in between a friendship' bit, the 'can't really handle being with a girl who's got more experience than you do' stuff... i can relate man. I can relate.
I've experienced that kinda stuff before. And i'm actually experiencing that kinda stuff now actually. Have i stressed out this point enough already?
Anyway, after finally having seen all the View Askew movies now (Sure took a long time... but it ain't my fault. Do you know how HARD it is to find a copy of Chasing Amy in Asia?!), i can finally rank them in order of my personal favorites:
5. Clerks (Animated Series)
4. Clerks
3. Dogma
2. Mallrats
1. Chasing Amy
Mallrats'll always occupy second place on my list. I'll always have a soft spot for Mallrats. What with it being the first of all the Kevin Smith flicks that i've seen, i really liked Mallrats. Sure, it was the most critically savaged flick of them all but i really liked it. So much so that i bought it on Laserdisc. Not the Special Edition Laserdisc unfortunately... but now that i have the Collector's Edition DVD... fuck the Laserdisc.
It's kinda fucked up though. The order in which i watched all the flicks:
1. Mallrats
2. Dogma
3. Clerks
4. Clerks (Animated Series)
5. Chasing Amy
Not exactly what you would call 'in perfect order'. Oh and uh... yes, i do realize that the Clerks cartoon doesn't exactly qualify as a 'Kevin Smith flick' per say, but hey, what the hell. Just thought i'd throw it in there anyway.
So... i haven't actually gotten around to watching the Thirteen Days DVD yet. Been busy with normal school shit (that just ended yesterday with only my finals left to go) and re-watching the other two 'New Jersey Trilogy' movies. But anyway, i'd love to take a webcam shot of me actually holding up all those DVD's but, as luck would have it, my webcam seems to be fucked. Actually not so much the webcam itself, but the application that runs the webcam. I think i'll need to reinstall the damn thing or something.
Whatever.

Surprise! - 4:30pm July 26 2001
Mazes and Monsters is available on video!
And apparently, the acting actually is pretty bad and shitty by today's standards!
No surprise there actually.
Wow - 1:01am July 26 2001
I never actually thought i'd get as many responses as i did (or ANY responses at all for that matter) concerning that D&D type movie question i was asking about a coupla days ago...

The movie you are thinking of is called Mazes & Monsters. It starred Tom
Hanks.
Mazes and Monsters (1982) (TV)
---------------
By golly you're right. Mazes & Monsters. That's exactly the movie that i was talking about. I might've been a little bit wrong with the description of the movie's premise in that post of mine but for most of the part, i pretty much nailed it. College kids who were really into that D&D-ish game.

i think the movie you are looking for is Good Grief (plot summary here
http://us.imdb.com/Plot?0138473). bud da bing bud da bang. damn straight i
figured it out, i'm the one and only internet cowboy. which reminds me i've
haven't gotten to looking for Kelly Preston pictures just yet, i've been a
little busy at work, but i'll be on that mission soon enough. i'm, trying
to find Helen Hunt naked too just because i thought she looked really good
in What Women Want, she looked good in Cast Away too, but What Women Want
she had a larger role and i realized, "damn, she's friggin hot," so yeah,
i'll be looking for those two.
i'll talk to you later.
will.
---------------
Wrong wrong wrong. Besides, i checked out the link and saw that Good Grief was made in 1998. Which makes it pretty much IMPOSSIBLE for me to have actually seen back in the 80's since it hadn't actually even been made yet. And besides, Good Grief doesn't even sound anything like the movie i was talking about. So yeah, Dragon boy up there nailed it. Mazes and Monsters Will. Not Good Grief.

Hey, man, the made-for-TV movie you're talking about is probably Mazes and
Monsters. For some reason, it surfaces in my memory every so often -
possibly because Tom Hanks played the main role.
I remember there were some quirky scenes as old Tom starting "going nuts"
that were shot first-person from the point of view of TH's character:
something happening in a tunnel during a gaming session that "became real"
for him. I think it was a troll (with glowing red eyes) lurching out of the
darkness and then they cut to commercial. Something occurred to let
everyone know that Tom Hanks' character pretty much had his head up his ass
as far as reality was concerned, and then there was a lot of stupidness and
drama as Tom's parents got involved and he was forbidden to play with his
old friends, but Tom didn't seem to be doing real well, mentally, and the
last scene I remember is one shot outside where he's saying goodbye to one
of his former gaming buddies and he's calling her by her character's name.
"Farewell, Sirinthia," or some such lofty shit. The scene was supposed to
be eerie and sobering, and it was meant to be self-evident that Tom is now
beyond therapy, but it was just sort of sad and silly. Or it was if you
understood how gaming worked, anyway.
Or do I have the wrong movie?

Yep, you've got the right movie alright. That sounds exactly like the movie that i remember. It's a pity that it was only a TV movie though. I wouldn't mind watching it again now. If only i could get my hands on it. On video or something. I highly doubt that it's out on DVD.
Ha.
Maybe i could look online to see if they ever released it on video. It'd be cool i guess to see how it'd hold up by today's standards. It probably hasn't stood the test of time for now but yeah, back in the day, i thought that it was a pretty cool movie. I still think it's a pretty cool movie. Granted, i have absolutely no recollection of how good (or bad) the performances were in that movie but that last scene always stuck in my mind. Of Tom Hanks' gaming buddies seeing him again and sadfully playing along with his delusions after seeing that he wasn't cured.
At least that's how i remember it anyway. I could be wrong.
It's funny though, i didn't even KNOW that Tom Hanks was in that movie. I probably was too young to even realize who Tom Hanks was and besides, Tom Hanks was pretty much a nobody back in '82. Well, not as famous as he is right now anyway.
But yeah, i was surprised by the fact that Tom Hanks was in that movie.
Wow.

I don't think i'll ever be able to find it. What with it being a TV movie and all, i highly doubt that it's even out on video. Kinda makes me wish that i'd taped the whole movie when first saw it that night all those years ago. I can't even remember what year it was or how old i was at the time but yeah, i distinctly remember me being able to work the VCR and everything. However the hell old i was at the time anyway. I mean, if i didn't know to work the VCR, how would i explain all those old taped episodes of Knight Rider, The A-Team, Dukes Of Hazzard, Max Headroom... etc etc... that i still have stashed away at home somewhere?
Man... i gotta dig them up when i get back home for the holidays next week. Relive cheesy 80's shows.

'New' layout - 7:18pm July 24 2001
But first, before i say anything else, i'd just like all of you to please refrain from staring at Natalie Portman's cleavage.
Anyway, for those of you who missed out on the 'old' layout, you can always have a look over here.
D&D - 5:48am July 24 2001
Okay, i need some help here. As you probably know by now, i bought Dungeons And Dragons on DVD last week. We all know it's a really shit movie. It's a good DVD... but still, it's a shit movie (Kinda like Dude, Where's My Car? really). And that got me thinking about all the other D&D inspired movies of the past. Shit or otherwise.
You see, there's this one movie that i've been trying to track down. I remember watching it like... YEARS AGO. Probably sometime in the mid to late 80's or something. Saw it on TV actually. I don't really remember too much about it but i do remember it was about this bunch of college kids (i think) who were really into D&D. Or at least some other role playing game that's similar to it anyway. And when i say 'into the game', i really do mean 'into the game'. From what i can vaguely remember, one of the players got so much 'into the game', he eventually started going crazy and believed himself to be the character that he played and started doing D&D stuff in the real world (i.e Killing stuff... and people).
I was probably too young to even understand the whole movie at the time and it's probably a really shitty movie by today's standards but by any chance, have any of you readers out there heard of such a movie? I know it exists in some form. Probably not exactly in the way that i described it but i do know that there's one movie out there that has something to do with role playing games with the last shot of the movie being a shot of the kids playing 'the game' one last time.
Sweet - 5:31am July 24 2001
I got a call from that Fox Home Video place last Sunday telling me that they had a shipment of DVD's come in and with it, came my specially ordered copies of Mallrats and Chasing Amy DVD's too (they didn't have it in stock prior to that y'see...).
But, since i'd already blown all my cash on those other DVD's that i bought over the past weekend, i'm (as of now) shit out of luck in the 'getting Chasing Amy or Mallrats anytime within the next few hours/days department'.
But, it's the end of the month. And i'm gonna be getting my monthly bank account refill from my 'rents so yeah, i'll probably be able to have either one (or both if i should be so lucky) of those DVD's in my grubby little hands by the end of the week.
Shibby!
Speaking of all things 'Shibby', apparently, the Dude, Where's My Car? DVD isn't actually that bad a DVD not to consider owning. Apparently, it's got a commentary track that actually makes the whole movie worth buying. But, a good commentary track does not a good movie make. The movie's still pretty stupid in it's own right.
In other news, i found out where Kip lives and i'll be sending some of my cronies to snatch those precious View Askew DVD's off of him sometime in the near future.
I also found out where Zil's lives in England. But she's not in England right now and she doesn't have anything that i want. So yeah, lucky her.
And the hits just keep on comin - 5:09am July 24 2001
Farting roommate went to Singapore over the past weekend. He bought a coupla DVD for himself. He also bought me a coupla replacement DVD's for the DVD's that Stephanie borrowed off of me (which subsequently got stolen hence him having to replace them).

All I have to offer is maybe some of my DVD's to give once I know how to do it. I have roughly 650 divid's to trade or what not so hooks me up with some knowledge. Also, I hate asking this, but could ya give me some info on aquiring some bootlegs too. My girlfriend was in the fast and the furious (crowd shot) and I wanna make her a boot.
Thanks for the info, Jason Kress

Hello, I know we don't even know each other but I was just on your site and really liked it. Like I was saying I know we don't know each other but I wanted to ask you a favor. I have been searching high and low on the internet for bootleg vcds, like the Jurrasic Park 3 you have. I currently buy them from a guy I work with but he charges twenty dollars a movie so it can get kind of pricey. He claims he gets them from a guy who works in a wherehouse that ships out the movies from the U.S. to Asia just before they are released in theaters. I know that these movies are traded and downloaded off of the web but for the life of me I can't find a legit site. So I was wondering if you could just point me in the right direction. I have asked others but everyone seems to not know anything about bootleg VCDs when asked, and I can totally understand where they are coming from. So if you could tell me where to go or at least point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it, if not thanks for taking the time to read my email.
Thanks, Jose Castillo
---------------
Okay, first of all, for those of you who don't know, i'm currently living in Asia. Also known as the Bootleg Central of the world. Where it's REALLY REALLY EASY to get bootlegs of whatever movie that was just released. On either VCD or DVD. Like... REALLY EASY.
Like yesterday, i went to the mall and i actually saw Final Fantasy on DVD. Hell, i even saw Jurassic Park 3 on DVD. I personally own both JP3 and FF on VCD. But more on that later.
Anyway, i'm just gonna go all out right now and spill the beans about everything that i know concerning the world of bootleg VCD's/DVD's. I'm not really quite sure if i'll be answering youze guys' questions or not but hey, maybe you'll learn something you didn't know.
Like i said earlier, it's really easy to get bootlegged VCD's over here. You can get em practically anywhere. I usually just get mine off from these car boot sales where these guys literally sell them VCD's from out of the boot of their cars (illegally of course). They park em some place and set up a big folding table just next to their cars and put out all the movies that they have in 'stock' out on display on that said table. They also sell porno VCD's but that's another story The porno's are usually kept out of view black plastic bags. Ask for em and the guy'll show you what they've got. Regardless of your age.
You can also get bootlegged VCD's from certain stores in certain malls but for most of the part, the car boot sales are more popular. And cheaper too.
BOOTLEGGED VCD's usually cost around RM$6 - RM$10 (depending on where you get em). ORIGINAL VCD's would set you back around RM$16 - RM$30 (usually found in legit stores in malls).
BOOTLEGGED DVD's, however, cost around RM$18 - RM$20. ORIGINAL DVD's can cost anywhere from RM$59 - RM$250 (ridiculous but true).
You can pretty much get ALL the latest movies on VCD. Fast. Like JP3 for example. I bought that movie a full 3 days before it was even officially released in theaters (!). I usually prefer getting my bootlegs from car boot sales instead of malls. They're cheaper and the guys selling em usaully tend to cut you good deals. Normally, they'd charge you around RM$6 per movie. But if you were to buy more than one, they tend to charge you less.
For example, i bought JP3, FF, TFATF and Tomb Raider for RM$20 at 5 bucks a movie (which is roughly about a buck and a half in USD a piece). Generally, the more you buy the less they charge you. And if you're a regular customer, they might charge you even lesser by giving you 'special discounts'. Or whatever.
Porno VCD's cost RM$10. Porno DVD's cost RM$40. The one's on VCD are usually just VHS/DVD transfers. All pirated. I've never seen original porno's being sold here in Malaysia.
I'm not too sure what the USD to RM exchange rate is but i think it's somewhere around US$1 : RM$4.
So yeah, one VCD would roughly set you back about a buck and a half US currency.
The audio visual aspects of the bootlegged VCD's themselves (e.g. JP3, Tomb Raider) vary in quality. Some are very good (JP3, good sound/picture), some are just okay (Kiss Of The Dragon, sound and picture not so hot) and some are just unwatchable (bad picture, bad sound, audio not in sync with video etc etc).

DVD's and stuff - 4:45pm July 20 2001
Went out to the mall yesterday. Bought myself The Gift and Romeo + Juliet on DVD. And because i had ntohing else better to do, i decided to take some screen caps of Katie Holmes sans clothing (i.e. KATIE HOLMES NUDE NO CLOTHES NAKED PICS FROM THE GIFT) to amuse myself.
The DVD's themselves are pretty bare bones. R+J only has one measly trailer. The Gift has a music video, one trailer and a 10 minute featurette.
Crap DVD's, good movies.
I still haven't gotten Chasing Amy OR Mallrats yet. They still haven't arrived.

The quality of the screen caps are pretty crap. But you're just gonna have to live with it i guess. These pictures don't really do any of these girls any justice. They look inifintely better in real life. In 3-D. In motion. Not in still pictures. Especially Lynn, Shu Xin and Sue. Fucking beautiful. More so in real life. |

Not really anyway.
But let's just take a look at that sentence for a while. Literally.
Okay. First of all, assholes cannot fuck. So i cannot be a fucking asshole. And asshole can't lie either. It's not like assholes can speak or anything. So again, i cannot be a lying asshole. Much less a lying fucking asshole. Because it's just not possible for assholes to fuck and lie.
Don't mind me. I'm just bored. It's 3am in the morning and i've got nothing else better to do. So i thought i'd just amuse myself.
It's amazing how easily amused i can be sometimes.

It's official... - 9:33pm July 18 2001
... i like Jurassic Park 3.
So here ya go. Some pointless screen grabs for ya. I couldn't wait till tomorrow.

Funnily enough.... - 8:50pm July 18 2001
Jurassic Park 3 actually opens in theaters TODAY. July 18th.
And i've had the whole movie on VCD a full 3 days before it even hit the theaters.
That's actually kinda cool.
I'm gonna take some screen grabs from the VCD and post them up on the site tomorrow. Just for the hell of it.
On second thought... - 8:20pm July 18 2001
You know, now that i think about it... Jurassic park 3 really is quite a good movie. It's a lot better than most of the other recent summer blockbusters. It's solid, fast paced, a real thrill ride, it's got a script that's full of smart low brow dark humor, it pretends that the second movie never existed, and it's actually fun to sit through.
With Tomb Raider, i was just waiting for everything to come to and end.
But with JP3, i didn't want the movie to end. Unfortunately it did. At just over 80 minutes, JP3 is SHORT.
But nevertheless, if you liked Jumanji, then you'll really like JP3. After all, they're both from the same director. Plus, you have GOT to see that Spinosaurus vs. T-rex fight scene. Can you say 'money shot'?
It's a good scene. The Spinosaurus makes the T-rex look like a Compy in comparison.
*sigh* - 7:50pm July 18 2001
My hits have kinda dropped since i started slacking off again. I was getting around 1000+ to 1300+ hits a day around 2 weeks ago. Now it's usually just about 800+/- to 900+ a day.
Anyway, i will make it a point to try to get at least 1000 hits for at least one day before the end of this week.
Shouldn't be too hard. Not with the promise of posting up those screen grabs of the girls that i 'accidently' caught on camera yesterday.
Actually... i haven't even taken the screen grabs yet. And i don't know how many good ones i'll be able to salvage from the footage i took. But you can be sure there'll be at least 3 girls that'll be up on the site. In the next few days.
I can't guarantee that all of 'em will be as HOT as some of you are expecting them to be but i personally think they're HOT.
So yeah, i guess you'll just have to wait and see.

"Two nights ago, someone named Adi called and expected me to remember him, because he called me 4 months ago. Idiot. I just told him to stop calling me. Then he said "So, does that mean you still want to meet up with me?" I mean, how stupid do some people get? What part of ĪNOõ doesnõt he understand?"
"As I arrived there, so did a group of about 15 guys, who took up about 3 tables, including mine. They were asking stupid questions like "Where do you live?" "Can I have your number?" Hah, I donõt think so."
"This guy, who was standing next to me, continued to ask me what my name was, and where I lived and why I wasnõt talking to him. Then he started touching my arm and running his foot up my leg, so I had no choice but to yell at him. "Fuck off and donõt you dare even think about fucking touching me again, OK?"

Anyway, in other news, there was this WMU Bronco Bash thing at school yesterday. Lots of people, lots of hot chicks too. Funnily enough, i had a video camera with me. So i took some footage of the whole thing. And funnily enough, i 'accidently' managed to take shoot some pretty good shots of some of the hotter girls here at WMU Malaysia.
In other words, i'll have some screen grabs of them hotter girls on the site in the next few days.

JP3 - 6:17pm July 18 2001
Finally got around to watching Jurassic Park 3. I was expecting the worst but i must say, i quite enjoyed it. It sure was a whole lot better that Tomb Raider. Goddamn that movie was bad. I gotta give it to Simon West though. He sure can direct action scenes. They were good. But really... overall, Tomb Raider was so bad. Not quite as bad as Double Dragon or Mario Bros. but still... it was bad.
Two things that i liked about Tomb Raider: The really cool 'bungee jumping' action scene and Angelina Jolie's sports bra.
That is one good sports bra.
Anyway, JP3. I like it better than the The Lost World. I liked the fact that they made a LOT of referances to the first two movies. And slightly poking fun at the second one too (because it was bad). They recycled a lot of the orginal music from the first one. I don't remember if they did the same thing with The Lost World but yeah, i noticed it a lot this time around.
Actually i don't really remember a lot about the second movie. I remember it being bad and forgettable though. That's about it.
Things i liked about JP3: Fast paced, endless set pieces, flying dinos, the number of funny comedic scenes, T’a Leoni.
Things i didn't like about JP3: 'Talking' raptors?, slighty hokier dino fx, too short, ending too abrupt, JP4?, lots of plot holes and very implausible at times (much like Tomb Raider), wasn't directed Spielberg.
But yeah, i enjoyed JP3. Not as good as the first but definitely better than the second.
The movie i edited - 5:30pm July 18 2001
Well, the premiere of the first of the two movies that i'm edited went pretty well yesterday. It was met by roaring laughter throughout the entire thing. And of course, applause, after the whole thing ended. Since it was the best of the 4 short movies that were shown. Thanks in no small part to the editing that i did.
God, those other 3 movies REALLY SUCKED. If it wasn't the editing, it was the acting. TERRIBLE. Not to say that our movie wasn't bad... because it was. But thanks to ME, i made it better than anybody else could have. And in the end, it turned out to be the best of all the bad movies shown.
What's the movie like? Picture this: An M. Night Shyamalan directed chinese Hong Kong gangster action comedy.
Yeah that's right. That's essentially what our movie was. A Chinese movie directed by an Indian. With subtitles.
Believe it or not, he actually wanted it to be a serious action movie but God... you should have seen the acting. It was so bad, we had to change the whole thing into a comedy. And it worked pretty well too. The subtitle didn't match the onscreen dialogue (like most subtitled Hong Kong movies)
Example of badly simplified subtitled dialogue that probably wasn't even what was said:
Fat dumb henchman: "Remember when Nicholas killed that Indian dog? (Indina dog = the director of the movie (actually a cool guy)... who had a small cameo role) "Well, i just saw the witness outside with his pretty girlfriend!"
Boss: "Are you nuts?! Why didn't you chase after him?"
Fat dumb henchman: "I would have but he was with his pretty girlfriend... and i can't fight both of them!"
Boss: "Nevermind, nevermind. You don't have to fight them. Just kidnap the pretty girlfriend. And let HIM come to us."
Fat dumb henchman: "Brilliant idea boss! You are so smart!"
I can't believe that i was the one who came up with the improvised dialogue.
There was a whole running joke about how the girlfriend was ALWAYS referred to as 'the pretty girlfriend' throughout the whole movie. And that fight scene at the end was great. Everybody who saw the movie were laughing their asses off. Comedy fight scenes are always great. Ala Jackie Chan.
The movie was called Sidekicks. I strongly debated the use of that lame title but hey, who was i to say what it should be called. I'm only the editor.
It's a bad movie. But bad in a good way (pun intended). The whole concept was funny enough as it was. An Indian director who understood no Chinese making a Hong Kong 'Young and Dangerous' inspired Chinese gangster action comedy movie that had shades of Bruce Lee flicks, Saturday Night Fever, The Sixth Sense and Rocky all rolled up into one really cheesy 15 student film.
Now that is what i call a fucked up movie.
You know, it's pretty pointless for me to talk about all of this considering none of you reading will ever actually get to see it. But oh well. It's not my loss.
Maybe i'll get some screen caps from the movie and put em on the site.

I haven't been sleeping that much ever since i started that editing 'job'. Been working around the clock really. It wasn't any help that those two friends of mine came to me at the very last minute to cut their movies together. One of them's due to be presented today and the other on Thursday. And when did i only start editing them? Thursday.
Two movies in a week. That's HARD work.
For me anyway.
So yeah, i haven't been sleeping that 'well'. I've got these fuckin' bags under my eyes now. No, wait. They're not even bags. They're suitcases. Samsonite.
I look like crap. Does anybody have any idea how to get rid of these fucking bags under my eyes? I look like a damn raccoon. A panda even.
Girls? Help me out here? I need to 'beautify' my eyes.
Gah.
It's 6:25am. I've just finished cutting together one of the two movies (the one that's due to be presented today).
I'm going to bed.

Like i said, i was busy. Busy doing what you ask? Would you believe me if i said i was helping out two friends of mine edit both their student films for their Film Interpretation class project?
Because that was what i'd been doing for the past 5 days or so. Doing film and sound editing for these two 15 minute student short films. Using my Powerbook G4. And some movie editing software.
It's fucking hard work cutting together movies. 'Working' together with the 'director' trying to fulfill his 'vision', arguing about what should be left on the 'cutting room floor', choosing the best takes, working around bad camera angles, making bad footage look good etc etc.
At one point i was just thinking of giving up. Breaking down. And running home to mama.
I was working for free. Didn't get paid or anything. Unless you counted free lunch at McDonalds and Domino's Pizza as 'payment'.
But yeah, that's basically what i've been doing all this time. Cutting movies. Basically.
Not only that, i've got this group presentation thing that's due to be presented this Thursday. And my finals are comin' up pretty soon. So yeah, these next few weeks are gonna be pretty hectic. So i porbably won't be posting on as regularly as i normally would.
Another look - 5:47am July 17 2001
My farting roommate was watching Final Fantasy on VCD yesterday and remembered me leaving one little fact out of my review of the movie yesterday: that the script sucks. Have you heard some of the lines that the actors have to work with in this movie? They can be really bad. Like that first line from the movie, the first line of dialogue that Aki says at the beginning... i was actually cringing when i heard that 'would i be in time to save the earth' thing that she says. I also thought that the way they handled the exposition scenes was a bit forced.
I dunno. Final Fantasy's an okay movie i guess. Technologically, it's a winner but critically, it's a flop.
It's kinda like Star Wars Episode 1 really. It's a movie that die hard SW fans just want to love... but can't because it's such a bad movie... but they accept it as part of the SW 'family' anyway.
That's how i feel about Final Fantasy the movie. Believe me, i'm a pretty big Final Fantasy fan. I've been playing FF games since the glory days of the SNES. I really want to LOVE the FF movie... but i can't... not totally...because it's a bad movie. But despite it being a bad movie, it's Final Fantasy after all. And i'll always automatically like anything related to FF.
Anyway, anybody wanna see Kirsten Dunst in a bra?
Not a metal one unfortunately.

Movies movies movies - 5:47am July 16 2001
Well i went to the movies last night. Watched Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. I came to this conclusion after i finished watching the movie:
Aliens + Starship Troopers + FF7 + a metal bra = Final Fantasy
You may be wondering where the metal bra thing comes in. The lead character, Aki, wears a metal bra in this movie.
I'm telling you. She does.
Anyway, It's a good movie. I liked it. It amused me three times and it tugged at my heart strings twice. Which is pretty good for a movie that has no... 'soul'. It is, after all, 100% CGI with CGI actors. The plot was alright i guess. Could've been better. But the visuals.
Oh my.
They are just in-fucking-credible. I can honestly say that i have never seen anything like it. On the closeup shots of the 'actors', you can actually see the PORES on their 'skin'. Their PORES. Talk about detail. Amazing. Although... the animation can be a bit jerky sometimes but you won't really notice it if you weren't actually looking out for it.
If there's one problem with the movie... is that you'll find yourself, more often than not, being distracted by the amazing CGI work instead of concentrating on the plot. Well... what little of the plot there is anyway.
But hey, i'm just nitpicking. It's still quite a good movie despite all it's apparent flaws. Steve Buscemi's character is pretty funny. Made me chuckle. So that's good. And i was kinda surprised to see Vasquez from Aliens in the movie.
Wow.
Okay so maybe it wasn't really Vasquez but damn, they coulda fooled me.
Did i mention the lead character wears a metal bra?
I still can't get that fact out of my head.
Things i liked about the movie: the 'camera work', the visuals, the metal bra.
Things i didn't like: the lip syncing, the lightweight plot, the metal bra.
After the movie, i made my way to one of those car boot sales and bought myself a coupla pirated VCD's. It's been a while since i last bought any. Anyway, i just couldn't resist and besides, i'm not too keen on going to the movies that much really. So i bought:

Hi there, Justin
My name's Chrystal, I live in Orlando, FL.... (not Malaysia, hehe)
I found your site while I was up all night hitting off all search tools to
find nude pics, (or at least a "good fake") of a few celebs...(Gillian
Anderson, Angelina Jolie among others) only to come up with a bunch of bull
shit pay-sites, that didn't "satisfy" hehe.
But then I found your site, and I bookmarked you INSTANTLY... THANK YOU SOO
MUCH! I would kiss you, if you weren't in Malaysia, hehe.
And I also have a "Movie Fetish" so to say... (among a few other fetishes I
have)
but I got a small collection of DVDs going, too. I started it when my VCR
busted... I began to build it with a base of my basic faves, such as
"subUrbia", "Ghost Busters", "The Wizard of Ozz", "Pulp Fiction",
"Halloween", "Nightmare on Elm St." (I'm big-time into classic horror flicks)
"The Wall, Pink Floyd" all of the Rocky series, of course... pretty much a
bunch of "classics"
Well, I just wanted to thank ya for putting such a cool site up, and I hope
to hear from ya some time... maybe we could even trade a few DVDs, or so...
just don't be a stranger
Take care,
Chrystal

Okay - 4:45pm July 12 2001
Looks like you won't be getting a proper update 'later in the day'. And no 'porn' too. And you probably won't be getting that many real updates for the rest of the week either. And i won't be able to reply to any of the e-mails that i've received anytime soon too.
I'm gonna be pretty busy for the rest of the week. Lots of schoolwork and stuff to sort out.
I'll post when i can find some free time.
...
Okay so maybe you do get some 'porn' for today. It's old recycled 'porn' though. 'Porn' that i added to the site (unannounced) two days ago:
Uh huh - 8:50am July 12 2001
I've been super busy lately. But expect a proper update, for those of you who actually read the site, later in the day. And for those of you who come here for the 'porn', well, there might be something for you people too... later.
But for now, i must go.
Lots of things to see and people to do.

Still can't decide... - 7:07pm July 10 2001

Holy crap he finally posted! - 3:40pm July 10 2001
Amazing as it is, i actually managed to break the record that i just broke a mere four days ago.
Forgive me if that opening sentence up there doesn't make any sense. I just can't be fucked writing good English today.
Anyway, yeah. I had a grand total of 1362 hits yesterday over the 'record beating' (not anymore) 'high' of 1236 about... 4 days ago? Yeah. Whatever.
Not that it's a big deal or anything but again, i'm just CHUFFED at the prospect of getting such a 'high' hit count. As it is. To me.
Thanks in no small part to Virginie Ledoyen of course. Because that's possibly one of reasons WHY it was as high as it was.
I think.
Anyway, i watched all 6 of the Clerks cartoons again last night for the 8th time. Man, that 4th episode fuckin' cracks me up all the time. I was watching it with another roommate of mine, Rico, and he was just laughing his ass off. All the way through the credits even. Me, i was nearly in tears.
Fuck, i WAS in tears. I laughed SO hard, i actually CRIED. No joke. And this was on my 8th viewing! I had to leave the room for God's sake! Took some Kleenex from my room, wiped away my TEARS and came back for the rest of the 2 remaining episodes (which i've already seen for at least 7 times prior).
Kevin Smith is a GOLDEN GOD.
Anyway, i don't think i'll be posting up any more 'porn' for today. So yeah, for those of you who're looking for 'porn', you're just gonna have to settle for the stuff that i posted up yesterday instead.
Today in my politics class, we had a lecture about poverty of all things. It was 'blah'... so i spent half the class paying 'half attention' and the other half of the class staring at that Claire Forlani lookalike chick.
I couldn't help it. She's hot, she kinda resembles Claire Forlani and she was wearing a purple sleeveless top.
And purple happens to be one of my favorite colors.
Even though it's the gayest color in the world.
Anyway, that's pretty much it for now. I have nothing else semi-interesting to say.
Oh yeah. By the way, this guy has a pretty shit DVD collection. Nowhere near as SUPER DOOPER AWE-INSPIRING compared to what i have.
Ha.

A funny search referral - 8:00pm July 9 2001
Google: some really funny stuff that is bad but in a pretty good way please mr google old chum
HAHAHA. That has got to be one of the most funniest search referrals i've ever gotten. That last bit is a fucking killer.
"Mr. Google Old Chum"
He even says "Please"...!
Geez man, that is fucking classic.
About that Virginie Ledoyen e-mail down below - 1:20pm July 9 2001
Oh alright alright... so maybe i do have pics of the shots of Virginie Ledoyen in the movie The Beach with her bare breasts showing.
Actually, i've got even more than just that. See for yourself.
*sigh*
Seriously... the things i do for you people...
I've got mail - 12:30pm July 9 2001
It's been a while since i posted up any reader e-mail on the site. But first... how about an ego boost?

Go with Mallrats, Chasing Amy is last on the countdown of all time favorite Jersey movies. Plus Joey plays a lesbian in Mallrats too. But where else can you hear "Would you like a chocolate pretzel? I know your a big fan, and damn they're tasty".

No. I do not have pics of the shots in the movie with her bare breasts.
*shakes head* - 5:14am July 9 2001
Well, since i've got nothing else better to do than to drive away all my females readers...
Clerks - 4:19am July 9 2001
Okay.
I am just on an overdose of Clerks here. I've watched all 6 of the episodes on both DVD's at least 5 times so far. And i've probably watched the Chasing Amy trailer that's included on there at least 10 times now. Maybe even 15. I dunno. I lost count.
You know, speaking of Chasing Amy, you guys aren't really helping me out here. About the whole Chasing Amy/Mallrats decision thing i mean. It's like 50 percent's saying Mallrats and the 50 percent's saying Chasing Amy. What the hell am i supposed to do?
Argh.
Maybe i should just get Dude, Where's My Car? instead.
Anyway, unbeknownst to most of you, i've actually kinda infected my farting roommate with 'the DVD bug'. He's been getting into the habit of buying DVD's lately. Much to the dismay of Stephanie (farting roommates girlfriend who, recently, imposed a 3 DVD's per month 'law' on him).
Geez, only 3 DVD's per month?? How can anyone live like that??
Anyway. he's not nearly as 'hardcore' a collector as i am but he's getting there. Slowly but surely. He's even started visiting DVD sites and scoping out what's new and shit. He doesn't really have THAT many DVD's in his collection right now but i gotta admit, he does have some pretty good titles in there amongst a coupla stinkers... but hey, it's alright. I own a coupla stinkers myself.
Mandy Moore: The Real Story anyone?
Anyway, as i'm typing this out on my farting roommates PC in my farting roommates room, i can't help but notice his 'tiny' collection (as opposed to my 'huge' collection of 80+ DVD's that is...) of DVD's under his bed. Let's have a look at what he's got eh?
Sunday, July 8, 2001
Dude, Where's My Car? - 3:41am July 8 2001
So tell me, did anyone actually watch that movie? Well i did. And it was only because Seann William Scott was in it. Next to Jason Mewes, he's definitely one of my favorite obnoxious character actors ever. Oh and because of Marla Sokoloff.
She's cute.
Anyway, ever wondered what the movie would've been called if it weren't set in the US?
Cuba: ņComrade, Donde Esta Mi Raft?
Italy: Dudio, Where's My Carbonara Sauce?
Australian: Have You Seen My Didgeridoo, Mate?
Brazil: Paolo, Which Way To Carnaval?
Russia: Dudesky, Where's My Mail-Order Bride?
Canada: Where's My Caribou, Eh?
Kevin Smith DVD's - 2:26am July 8 2001
So anyway, i went over to that Fox Home Video place yesterday and picked up my copy of Clerks Uncensored on DVD which i had 'specially' requested for to be ordered from their supplier in Canada or someplace like that. Maybe the US. I dunno. Anyway, i had them ordered a coupla weeks ago. Actually i'd placed more than one order with them but the only DVD that'd arrived was Clerks.
The cartoon. Not the movie.
Anyway, the woman clerk (no pun intended) at the video store told me that the other DVD's that i'd ordered would be coming in sometime next week. I'd ordered 3 of 'em in all. Clerks Uncensored (which i now already have with me), Mallrats: Collectors Edition and Chasing Amy: Criterion Collection.
If i had enough money, i'd've gotten them to get me Dogma: Special Edition too. And maybe even throw in the original 1994 Clerks movie if they had it in stock.
Of course, i'd have to be like a fucking millionaire to afford to pay for them all considering the ludicrous prices that they charge for DVD's over here in Malaysia...
I mean, come on man. I had to pay RM$159 for Clerks.
Fucking hell. It probably would've only cost me like... US$25 or something like that over in the States.
Anyway, with that being said, i'll be facing a major dilemma come next week. You see, i'd only saved up enough money to buy myself two more DVD's for the rest of the month. And how many DVD's did i mention me ordering? THREE. I've already bought one of them (Clerks) so i'm only gonna be able to get only one of the other two that're arriving next week.
And my problem is...
Which one? Mallrats or Chasing Amy?
Okay, for those of you who don't give a crap about DVD's, this is the part of the post where it gets BORING.
Alright. Thing is, i already HAVE Mallrats on Laserdisc. Unfortunately, it's not the Collectors Edition. And i WANT the Collectors Edition. On DVD. Because it's got a motherfuckin' shitload of extras and fuckin' 60 minutes of deleted scenes. And a commentary track that's reportedly one of the fucking best to be heard on DVD next to the commentaries that're on the Evil Dead movies.
Good God. I'm getting a boner just thinking about all those extras...
...and Claire Forlani. Because she's in Mallrats too you know.
Now Chasing Amy: Criterion Collection is just about as equally bonerific as Mallrats is. And i've actually never seen Chasing Amy before. And i really REALLY want to see Chasing Amy. Mostly because it's a fucking good movie, it supposedly has a GREAT commentary track (as all the View Askew commentary tracks are) and it has Joey Lauren Adams in it.
Plus, it's about a guy who falls in love with a lesbian. That storyline alone has got me hook, line and sinker.
I WANT TO SEE THIS MOVIE.
So since i can only get one of the two, which one do i get? Do i get the movie that i've seen a million times over that has extras i could just die for or do i get the movie that i've never seen before that has extras that i could probably also die for too?
Anyway, i'm leaning more towards getting Mallrats right now. But geez man... Chasing Amy...! Joey Lauren Adams...! lesbians...! A movie about a guy who falls in love with a girl who's been around and seen things i've only read about in books!
I mean, i know BOTH movies are really REALLY good and all. And i really REALLY wish i had the money to take both of them home with me as soon as they get in, but fuck... I CAN'T. AND IT'S KILLING ME. ARGH. So it's either one or the other. Mallrats or Chasing Amy. I'd appreciate it, if any of you who've actually read this far down the post, to just cast your 'vote' in that abuse box thing up there.
I'm not expecting a huge response or anything, but hey, just pick one out for me.
Mallrats. Or Chasing Amy.
Blah - 2:15am July 8 2001
I was gonna write a long winded post about why i'm back posting on the site again. But i thought i'd just spare you the torture of having to read through my bad writing.
Anyway, to cut a long story short, the new layout has inspired me somewhat, i've been promised a case full of Sprite to be delivered to me if i started posting again and i just didn't want to let all those 500+ hits that i've been getting for the past 2 weeks or so to go to waste.
Also, i just wanna apologize to those of you (Thess, Liz, Kip... etc etc) who actually believed that i'd really quit and wrote nice farewells for me and the site and everything. I actually kinda feel somewhat guilty for 'coming back' now. But hey, technically, i DID quit for about 2 weeks and a bit. But i guess, in the end, i just couldn't stay away for long enough. So i came crawling 'back'.
But you probably saw it coming anyway.

The Princess Bride DVD - 2:15pm July 7 2001

Oh no he's talking about his hits again... - 1:21pm July 7 2001
Would it be boasting if i were to mention that i got a 200% increase in hits ever since i put up the new layout?
Who am i kidding? Of course it would.
And it's okay. Because, this is a pretty 'small' site that i'm running. Getting over a thousand hits in a day is a pretty 'big' thing for me. I mean, it's not like i'm getting 1000+ hits a day on a regular basis or anything. So yeah. I'm pretty miffed.
So anyway, i broke my old record (980+) yesterday by getting 1236 hits. And i'm almost certain that 20% of those hits came from my regulars, 30% from people searching for 'porn' and 50% from Solo... for advertising my 'porn'.
Ha.
Of course, i'm also sure that 60% of those new visitors won't ever be coming back so yeah, i'm expecting that my hits'll drop back down to about 40% of what i've been getting these past 2 days.
Oh and if my logic sounds flawed for some reason, it's probably because i totally SUCK at math. I'm just throwing around numbers blindly really. It's like pissing into the wind.
Sort of.
Broken links and whatnot - 1:10am July 7 2001
I'm pretty much done fixing up layout. I've been tinkering with it for the past two days now ironing out all the kinks. The archived posts have been 'streamlined' (so to speak) so that they no longer spread across 29 pages. I've got it down to 25 pages now. With each page holding an average of about 100k worth of posts. Although there's a drawback to this. Some of the links that used to link to other archived pages no longer work. And if you were to click on them, it's probably take you to the wrong page. I've put a little notice at the top of the site about this little 'problem'. Makes me kinda wish that my site was automated. Instead of it all being handed coded without and help from a CGI script or anything like that.
Anyway, i have a bit of explaining to do. Concerning what the hell is going on with this, supposedly, dead site.
But i'll do that later.
Can't really think of a title for this post - 1:00am July 7 2001
So anyway, i realize that this is the second time in two days that i've started a post with the words 'so anyway'. I promise it won't happen again.
Friday, July 6, 2001
HOT - 9:05am July 6 2001
So anyway, i realize that i've been posting pretty long posts and all and i know for a fact that most of you readers have the attention span of a gnat on ecstasy so in a effort to make the posts more 'bite sized', i'm gonna post... shorter posts i guess.
Despite the fact that the site is actually DEAD.
Anyway, i archived a few of those long ass posts that used to fill up most of the site's main page so that the whole thing'd load up faster. What with the main page running up to over 125k in size, it was fucking slow as hell before. As a general rule, i usually start archiving stuff once the page gets to about 100k.
But anyway, FINALLY... after 10 whole freakin' months, i decided to make myself a new layout. So stop complaining about my layout being boring.
Ass.
Anyway, i would've updated yesterday but i was too busy staring at my layout. Fucking hell man. Claire Forlani is HOT.
HOT HOT HOT.

Fourth of July post - 1:00pm July 4 2001
No, this isn't a continuation of my 'final bonus post'. But since it's the 4th of July today, i thought i'd just post... because i can.
Actually... that kinda reminds me of that old 'joke'.
Why do dogs lick their asses?
Because they can.
Ha. Lame joke i know. But i think it's funny.
Anyway... 4th of July. I remember exactly one year ago me watching The Patriot on VCD (i didn't own a DVD player back then so crappy VCD's were all i had). It's kinda weird not having a big 4th of July event movie for 2001. Not that it really matters. It just feels like something's missing. But anyway, who cares about big 4th of July movies. Today was also the due date for that Modern Arts and Ideas paper that i've been slaving over for the past 3 weeks or so. I did a paper on Modern Cinema and Filmmaking. No surprise there. So anyway, since it's the 4th of July and all, class was sorta cancelled... in a way. All we had to do was hand in our assignments... and that was it. No lecture. No nothing.
"Since it's the 4th of July and it's Independence Day... you can all get out of class"
As my ever swearing lecturer put it ever so bluntly.
But anyway, AS IF YOU CARE ABOUT ME HANDING IN MY TERM PAPER AND GETTING OUT OF CLASS EARLY.
I know y'all are just looking for more PORN. So yeah, just as it is, i actually do have some makeshift porn for YOU. Those of you who're looking for it anyway.
Again, credit goes to my bitch, who found these pictures for me (because he's my bitch). Pictures of what you may ask? Well picture of Nicole and Natalie Appleton of course. From that all chick group. All Saints. Anyway, Will was challenging me to stump him with a nude chick pic request because, as he said, he can find ANYBODY. I never thought he'd actually come through with my request. I swear, the guy's gotta have like an Adult Check password or something. Ha.
I actually did find pictures of Nicole and Natalie... naked... once before. But they were really small and really crappy. I have no idea where the hell Will got these from but hey, being the 'internet cowboy' that he is ("Yee Haw!"), he actually managed to find em. In between 'stealing' coffee and donuts from his workplace no less. A 'Corporate Raider' he calls himself.
Which reminds me, Tomb Raider sucks.

Bonus post part #2!!! - 11:45am July 1 2001
*Continuation of 'bonus post!!!'. With new recent elements added throughout.
HITS AND TITS
You know, for a dead site, this site's doing pretty well in the hit stakes. The site got (and is still getting) more than 500+ hits ever since i let D write the post that she wrote down there. I have no idea if people actually came here in droves just to read her post but hey, if that's the case, then i guess it is true: Chicks = Hits.
Either that or people have just been coming here to find nude pictures of Katie Holmes or that ever so elusive secret preteen lesbian sex site.
In other nudity related news, two days ago, i had an intense craving for Tara Reid and i desperately wanted to see her.
Naked.
So i looked and looked high and low all over the internet visiting all the supposedly 'free' nude celebrity sites. Yeah right. 'Free' my ass. But to cut a long (and rather sad) story short... i couldn't find any. Just as it was, my bitch, who happened to on AIM at the time, offered to help me in my search after hearing of my plight. And guess what? He actually came through. So yeah. For those of you who came here looking for Tara Reid naked, well... here's Tara Reid naked.

site stats.
