Oooooh. This looks fairly promising. A live action Initial D movie. From the guys who brought you the Infernal Affairs trilogy. And starring most of the same cast from the trilogy too. Don’t you love it when directors keep using the same actors in their other movies? I do. (here’s looking at you PTA)
I’ve never read the comics, watched the cartoons or played any of the videogames (mostly because of the ‘hero car’. a fucking Trueno? the most butt ugliest tuner car ever. TURN OFF) so my interest in this movie is purely based on it’s connection to the Infernal Affairs movies, production-wise (though i do loves me some underground racing. 2 fast 2 furious yo!). Apparently Initial D has quite the following in Japan and around these here parts (in Asia, remember, i’m not in Michigan anymore). So i wouldn’t be surprised if this flick cleans up at the HK box office. Comes out on June 23rd. I’ll probably get it on DVD like 3 days later. lololololol.
Oh and those of you who like watching The Whip Set (that fucking stupid block of shows on G4; Formula D and Street Fury) will probably love this flick. Ya, drifters will eat this shit up.

2 Fast 2 Furious, and The Fast and the Furious, for that matter … both suck huge amounts of rhino balls. Movies about racing always end up being nothing more than stylized horseshit. Lame.

Scorsese is supposedly remaking Internal Affairs and I think he is setting it in Boston. Leo will be in this one and I heard something about Mark Whalberg. I am not sold on this idea yet. It could be a bad decision. I have yet to see the original but have heard good things.

Also, I hear Justin Lin directing the next “The Fast and the Furious”. It’s gonna center around in Tokyo and the main character is a white guy, trying to bring the (Asian) MAN Down! Too bad… cause I wanted the sequel to spice things up a bit and have a Female be the lead character, she can seduce the guys while racing… by touching herself in sexual ways. …Because that’s how you seduce people. “You better learn that!”
