Something about the Superman costume in particular doesn’t seem to translate well to live action. I don’t know if it’s the colors or the clothing, but that just don’t look right.
Wow, you mean Superman is an alien that lived on a farm? Thanks for the new info Singer. Ass. Superman’s origin is better known than Jesus’s. Give us something new! Having the neo-Neo shot and horrible cgi didn’t help. Watch it while you can, because this will be the last Superman movie for twenty years.

Tom Welling’s probably laughing his ass off right now. He beat Braniac and Zod in about thirty seconds. And his show is better than the movie. And instead of doing a lame impression of Christopher Reeve, he actually got to work with him twice.

No doubt, Tom Welling is more Superman than Brandon Routh, and Welling doesn’t even wear a costume. Also, Kate Bosworth is no Lois Lane. Disgraceful choice. If you wanted a Kate, then Kate Beckinsale would have been a far better choice.
Having said all that, it’s freakin’ Superman! I’m so there!

this is ganna be a good movie, there’s potental, but i don’t know. in response to #6, this isn’t an origin movie, those are just flashbacks. thats why the movie is called superman returns, he left to check out Krypton like in the comics. and costumes change all the time, i dont see why people always bitch about it. like when batman had that velour looking cape, it looked gay in pictures but during the movie it was just fine.

I liked it, especially the Krypton fanfare.
I’ll probably see it.

Actually, the whole sky battle between Neo and Agent Smith in Matrix 3 was just an updated version of Superman vs. Zod from Superman 2.
