  5. The pale look doesn’t bother me because teh boobies are nice. What does bother me is how many times the release date for A Scanner Darkly has been pushed back. I swear that the first time I heard about it, it was supposed to be released in the US near the end of last October. Now, the official site says “July 7* (Release Date subject to change).” What’s been the holdup? I’m interested in this movie, so it better not be delayed for many years.

Are you interested in this movie Justin? I know that it’s directed by Richard Linklater, who made Before Sunrise and Before Sunset, both movies you enjoyed, so I’m guessing that you’d be interested in this one as well.

  7. How about that Darwin Awards movie someone mentioned a while back? What ever happened to that?

  9. One of the reasons Scanner Darkly was pushed back was because they lost all the rotoscoping artists so they had to hire a bunch more(or something along those lines) they had ads in the newspapers here in houston for artists to apply in austin for the job

  11. Please let this be the first ‘real’ adaptation of a Phillip K. Dick novel. Blade Runner was nice, but not faithful. Total Recall = Total Bullshit, and so on.

If Winona’s animated jumblies, I may forgive the film for straying.

  12. I meant to say:

“If Winona’s animated jumblies are visible, I may forgive the film for straying from the book.”

  13. waking life was pretty cool.

i stopped trying to understand all the philosophical babble about halfway through, but it was creative nonetheless.
