An ‘O.C.’ gaffe, quick as a flash
A little more of sexy “O.C.” star Mischa Barton got on the air at Fox last week than expected – and now some are worried the FCC might get on the case.
That’s because Barton’s nipple accidentally popped out during a bedroom scene in last Thursday’s show.
The shot made it onto the air without network officials or the show’s producers seeing the slippage, according to sources.
In fact, it wasn’t until a fan spotted – or was told about – the bare breast and notified the Web site TVgasm.com that anyone else seemed to notice.
In a dark clip posted on the site, Barton could be seen wearing a negligee and getting out of bed. When she’s almost up, part of her breast slips out. She then places it back beneath her clothes.
The bare breast can be seen only briefly, and only by someone who’s looking for it.
The exposure was far less than in the famed Janet Jackson Super Bowl incident that caused a firestorm over sexual content on TV.
That said, the “O.C.” slip comes at a time when networks fear a complaint campaign from watchdog groups, which could make things messy.
“We have not received any complaints,” a Fox spokesman said yesterday.
“O.C.” executive producer Josh Schwartz could not be reached for comment.

Using dumb euphemisms for sex on TV-ok
Condom commercials on TV-ok
Nipples on TV-ZOMG, cover the children’s eyes before they are scarred for life
Conclusion-stupid religious people need to stop ruining entertainment in America and allow boobs on normal TV and in video games
What The O.C. needs is to go off the air. What a dumb show. Bring back Arrested Development on Thursday nights along with something else. Arrested Development would do alright on Thursday because the only other things on are Alias and Survivor. Ratings for Must See TV are crap, so NBC won’t be any competition. Even though Smallville has pretty good ratings, fewer people watch the WB than the other major networks. The only comedy on Thursday night is Everybody Hates Chris, and UPN’s ratings are even lower than the WB. See Fox, you should put Arrested Development on Thursday night and get rid of The O.C. Oh wait, Fox only airs shows that have good ratings; nothing else matters.

“Fox only airs shows that have good ratings; nothing else matters.”
Obviously, why keep a show with terrible ratings? As far as I know, they allowed Arrested Development to have a second season, so believed in the show regardless of the ratings until now.
Though Prison Break has good ratings and is going to be butchered itself with the about to happen long hiatus.

#14, I’m just saying that Fox has a history of canceling critically acclaimed shows or ones with a cult following. I’m sure every other network does the same thing, but Fox seems to do it more often than other networks.
Of course it makes sense from a business point of view that networks only air shows that have high ratings, which leads to large ad revenues and lots of money. They are businesses and a business tries to turn a profit. It just nice to pretend that the networks put shows on the air because they believe in them artistically and not just because the show is predicted to be a hit with the 18-29 year-old demographic.
I have no idea what Fox is thinking by putting Prison Break on hiatus. I don’t know exactly what the plan is for Monday night programming starting in January, but I think it would be great to have Prison Break followed by 24, or vice versa.

#15 – What pisses me off about Fox even more is how they refused or did little to promote Arrested Development.
It’s fine to bow to pressure from a small group of core fans and give the show another season, but to show the show to the TV graveyard that is 8PM Monday is just unforgiveable. All they had to do was look at shows like Seinfeld, Frasier and Friends; all underachievers at the start. But NBC stuck by the shows and didn’t move them around like chess pieces.
These dumb fucks at FOX just never learn, even after Family Guy.

#9, though Samaire Armstrong is a lot more pleasing to the eye than Mischa, her boobs are possibly even smaller.

Yeah, about Fox… Family Guy anyone? And they’re still trying to mess with the show even after it’s been brought back.
This is a little more than JJ… her entire boob is hanging out, lol. Not that it’s that great, but it is all the way out.
