BRING IT ON

Oh, it’s already been brought-en!

4K bluray just came in the mail today from Amazon (in a bubble wrap envelope if you’re wondering).

That picture up there, is the 4K bluray next to the DVD that my mom got for me (probably from Amazon) after being super disappointed that it wasn’t available to buy anywhere in Malaysia, where i was at the time (this was back in like March of 2001). She also got me Se7en: Platinum Edition on DVD, together with Bring It On (which, funnily enough, i just got Se7en on 4K bluray earlier this month; see previous post below this).

I’d link to these specific posts about me being disappointed about the Bring It On DVD not being available to buy in Malaysia, if i could. I searched but nothing came up. I could’ve sworn i posted about this DVD a bunch of times but when i did a search for “Bring It On DVD” on this site, nothing..!

Then i remembered there was a time when all my posts on here were done in raw HTML; before wordpress, before greymatter, before i started using content management systems that would have made posts searchable.

I never got around to fully converting all those older posts (circa June 2000 to September 2001). I think i only converted posts from June 2000 up to September 2000.

So there’s actually a whole year’s worth of posts that haven’t been converted to wordpress. This would have covered a chunk of time when i was still in college in Sunway, Kuala Lumpur, just before heading off to WMU in Michigan. Ah, college days.

Those older posts are still accessible though. Here’s a link to the stuff from March 2001. I guess you could just change the number in the URL (1 – 16) to get to all the other months before and after March 2001.

The 4K bluray cover says 25th Anniversary Edition on it.

Bring It On is 25 years old. Holy shit.

And that picture up there of the DVD and the 4K bluray, that’s like 24 years between their releases (DVD came out in February 2001).

Time flies man.

What

How is it June already and the last post i made was in January? How does time fly by so fast?

Also yes, i got lazy again and let 6 months go by between posts.

Also yes, here’s another Amazon pick up post.

It’s always a crapshoot when buying steelbooks. My copy of Se7en arrived dented, shipped in a flimsy envelope. Not surprising.

I also picked up this gem of a movie, which if you’ve never seen it, you should.

So last week, i saw that Amazon had the steelbook edition of the first season of The Last of Us Season One back in stock. It was sold out for a while.

Had to grab it, even though i already own the regular edition.

Figured i’d pick up the Akira steelbook as well and hope they ship it out in a box, seeing as there’s gonna be two blurays to ship.

So the package just arrived today and thank the heavens, they shipped it in a box.

Guess i got lucky this time and as you can see, no damage!

Tune in next time to see what else i bought. Riveting content!

Spoilers: I have Bring It On on the way.

I will have this in 4k UHD
