I gathered the pics for this post a few weeks back when someone first mentioned it in the comments, but it sorta fell through the cracks of my busy life.

For those not up to speed, the 12-year old daughter of Heather Locklear and Richie Sambora made her runway debut as a model back at the end of March. Here are the best pics I could find that documented the event…

Now some have put forth the notion that modeling at such a young age can lead to nothing but bad news for the girl in question, but this is not exactly a recent phenomenon, and I did manage to find one rather notable case of a preteen who didn’t let the glitz and glamour ruin her life…

Milla was actually signed by a modeling agency at age NINE (!), but didn’t really get noticed widely until photos of her by Richard Avedon were taken when she was 11. The first three pics in this gallery are Milla at 12, and the rest when she was 15. She seems to have turned out fine, right?
