NO HELL FOR PAGE!

Well, if you hadn’t already known, Ellen Page dropped out of Sam Raimi’s upcoming return to horror ‘Drag Me To Hell’ citing scheduling differences.

🙁

So who’s gonna be replacing Ellen in the movie? Why, none other than a former obsession of mine, Alison Lohman!

Alison Lohman will replace Ellen Page in Sam Raimi’s horror film “Drag Me to Hell.”

The “Juno” Oscar nominee dropped out last week, facing a scheduling conflict after “Hell” was delayed because of a protracted preproduction period. It bumped against two other projects on Page’s dance card: the roller-derby comedy “Whip It!” and the thriller “Peacock.”

Producers were looking for another babyfaced star and found one in 28-year-old Lohman, best known for portraying a younger-than-her-years character in “White Oleander.” She recently voiced a role in “Beowulf,” and played a recovering addict in “Things We Lost in the Fire.”

I had a thing for her back in ’03 around the time Matchstick Men came out; notable for the fact that Alison was 24 playing a 14 year old in that movie (!).

Funnily enough, both her and Ellen Page fall into the category of chicks over 20 (almost 30 now in Lohman’s case…!) who still look like they’re 14! (Bonus!)

All in all, some pretty good news (for me at least) in spite of Ellen not being in the flick.

Some haters might even say it’s a good thing!?! Lots of Juno backlash going around..!

Why can’t I just hug a woman with my legs in friendship?”
