BLOG (very boring)

So anyway. I didn’t really do much today. Didn’t exactly go out or anything. Unless if you count going to a travel agent to book a flight ticket back home ‘going out’.

I tried getting a seat for the 14th of December. But everything was fully booked. So’s the 15th. There might be an opening on the 16th but as of now, i’m on the waiting list. So i’m gonna have to go back some other day to confirm my ticket and shit. So that sucks.

I got a phone call from somebody while i was on my way to the mall from that travel agency place. It wasn’t a local call because some weird number came upon the caller ID. Weird numbers usually show up when i’m get international calls. So i’m guessing it was an international call. It was a really short call though. Just some nervous girl calling me up to say Happy Birthday. Didn’t say who she was or anything like that. I suspect it’s one of my regular readers.

I’d given out my phone number to a couple of my readers for SMSing purposes.

So that’s two unexpected phone calls so far this past week. One from Stephanie and one from… one of my readers i guess. I don’t know which one though. But i do have a good idea who it is though…

Bought myself a BOOK today. The Lord Of The Rings Official Movie Guide Collector’s Hardback Edition.

80 fucking bucks down the drain.

I really hope the movie’s gonna live up to the hype. It should be though. It is, after all, a Peter Jackson movie. That man can’t possibly do any wrong. Dead Alive, Heavenly Creatures, The Frighteners… GOOD MOVIES.

Hope i’m not jinxing everything by buying the book though. Because the last time i bought an ‘official book of the movie’ book, that movie bombed like a motherfucker.

Remember Pearl Harbor?

Speaking of movies, i’ll be going out tonight to watch Harry Potter. At the movies for once andnot just on bootleg VCD. I rarely ever go to the movies. But it’s probably something i’ll have to get used to doing because i doubt i’ll be able to find VCD’s that easy in Michigan. If not at all.

I’m better on the latter.

I have absolutely no idea what to expect from Harry Potter having never read any of the books or really paying attention to any of the trailers and all. So yeah, we’ll see how that goes.

There’s this convocation thing tomorrow in college. It’s basically just this awards ceremony thing for students who’re on the Deans List and for people who’re transferring over to Western next semester (i.e. Me). It’s a formal attire affair.

I have no formal attire.

I’m gonna have to bum some clothes off of Jason tomorrow.

Remind me to bring over some formal clothing and a tux/jacket thing for when leave for Michigan.

Received quite a number of e-cards and stuff in the mail today. But since the day’s not exactly over yet, i’ll leave the thank yous for tomorrow after i tally up all birthday greetings i’ve gotten. Yes. I have nothing else better to do.

Oh yeah:

  • Saving Private Ryan
  • The Mexican
  • Exit Wounds

Time to update that list again…

Jesus God, when people say “2 more days, I wonder who will remember” I start getting anxious. Maybe it’s a birthday, maybe it’s the inevitable destruction of the planet to make a space highway, maybe it’s the anniversary of the death of intelligence. It’s driving me crazy.
No, wait, there was another reason that I wrote you. I wanted to know if you would be interested in doing a link exchange with me. I’m pretty sure I meet your qualifications, as my site does not, to the best of my knowledge, suck. It’s kind of a cross between E/N and erotica, but check it out at http://www.bluebabylon.com and let me know if you’re interested.

I ran a goth site once. Honest to God. I had it on the now defunct GoPlay.com servers. And a grand total of 4 people that i know of have seen it. Why i even had a goth site i don’t even know because i am as far as you can get from being even remotely in the slightest bit gothic.

It was a phase i guess. I got quite intrigued by all things dark and gothic. It’d freak out Rory, one of my then housemates, when i’d be visiting all these dark goth sites and stuff in the middle of the night. He’d tell me to stop surfing all these ‘evil pages’ from his PC. And for a while, there was this time where all i could ever do was visit sites that were about the Necronomicon. That REALLY freaked him out.

H.P Lovecraft. H.R. Giger. I used to be into that kinda stuff. All things dark.

Now i’m just into all things with breasts.

This came with the e-mail she sent:

Tell me she doesn’t look like a Rose McGowan meets Angelina Jolie. Just a little bit.

“Gimme some sugar baby”

I’m gonna miss bitching about the price of things here in Malaysia once i get to Michigan. Because really, bitching about how much DVD’s and Doritos cost here probably makes up for like… 20% of this site’s content.

Stuff’s gonna be so much cheaper over there. No more 9 dollar Doritos or 149 dollar DVD’s. Although i hear that the taxi fares over there are outrageous. Maybe you’ll hear me bitch out that come January 2002.

Anyway, i bought 3 DVD’s two nights ago:

  • Planet Of The Apes (2001): 2 Disc Special Edition
  • Blow: Infinifilm
  • Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs: Platinum Edition

I’ve been getting shit from Rico and my farting roommate for buying Snow White. And i got this strange look from Moe when i told him about Snow White being one of my more recent purchases.

What the hell?

What’s so wrong about Snow White?? It’s a classic dammit. And it’s one hell of a loaded DVD.

The same goes for the Planet Of The Apes DVD. It’s fucking stacked to the brim with extras and shit. It’s got this really nice shiny packaging and the menus are fucking awesome. I loved the menus.

And Estella Warren. Mmm.

I finally got around to watching Blow. I didn’t get the chance to watch it when it first came out. It’s a pretty darn good movie i gotta say. Franka Potente looks better with red hair though. She doesn’t look right being blonde. Or maybe it’s just me. I dunno. I just can’t imagine her playing anyone else other than Lola (from Run Lola Run).

And yes, she still reminds me of Thess. I don’t know why.

In other news:

I’m still getting people coming up to me asking me how i did those 360 degree ‘Matrix’ shots (which i still think is more Guy Ritchie than anything else). It’s actually not really that big a deal really. It just so happened that i edited some of the scenes in our movie in a music video/trailer kinda of way. Speeded up some shots. Pausing for a second then speeding it up again. Using slow motion for one single event shown from 3 different angle back to back. Very basic music video/trailer style editing. Which apparently nobody has ever attempted before for their student films. And they were just blown away by it i guess.

Stacey scared the crap out of me again about 3 days ago. Came up behind me with Steph and one of her other friends and went “Hi Justin”. I was fooling around with my POWERBOOK G4 at the time and she was like, “Is that yours?” and “Why do you even bother using the PC’s in the library when you have that?”.

But that’s not the point. The point is, she scared the crap out me. I swear she must be doing it on purpose.

She looked really good though that day. She had this green turtleneck sweater kinda thing on. Had her long hair all let down. HOT.

*ehem*

Anyway, today’s like this national day of mourning here in Malaysia. The King died yesterday. So all classes have been cancelled and shit. In other words, it’s a holiday here. Some people were actually rejoicing yesterday at the thought of not having to go to school the next day. My swearing lecturer (you long time readers might remember him) even told us that one of the staff members practically had an orgasm when she heard that today was gonna be a holiday.

Weird weird.

In search referral news, it seems that Osama Bin Laden is no where near as popular as he was before. My referrals have been dominated by people looking for Libby Hoeler as of late. And for some reason, Christy Chung.

She’s pretty popular these days. According to my referrals anyway.

I should capitalize on that a bit more.

Eh? Okay.

Apparently a lot of people have been asking around for me since the ‘premiere’ of our Bad Boyz movie yesterday. Asking my Mr. Director friend, Moe, about who did the editing on it. They want me to help out edit their movies you see. For when they’re taking Film class next semester. Or so i’ve been told anyway.

Nice to know that i’m ‘in demand’ in one way or another.

Which is too bad really. Because i won’t be here in Malaysia anymore next semester. Ha.

Wacko

Greetings,

Tis I, VanGogh, from PleasantJourneys.com. I received an email today from a guy calling himself “The Light”. The Light informed me in no uncertain terms that he had viewed my site, and found it offensive. He said I had fallen off of God’s path, and I was surely damned unless I repented and dedicated my site, and my life, to Jesus. AT first I thought it was just a stunt for a site plug, but he listed no site. I was left with the undeniable conclusion that I had a nut job on my hands. So I did what any good webmaster would do. I sent him to bug someone else.

This is the reply that I sent him:

“If you think a Pleasant Journeys is damned, you should go to FUBAR ( ). Your halo will REALLY get bent out of shape then.”

Anyway, just thought I’d warn you that there is a wacko on the loose, and I sent him your way. Consider it an early Christmas present.

Hahaha. Offensive doesn’t even begin to describe what this site is.

Here. How about some ‘offensive’ Christy Chung pictures?

PLEASE DON’T SUE.
