AHA! Stupid clerk. So i had Midnight Club 3 DUB Edition preordered and paid off in full (for $29 with some GameRush trade in deal thing) a while back, with a total of like $45 in store credit in my account. So i went to pick it up yesterday thinking i’d just pop in, pick it up and walk out. But then the cashier chick was like, “that’ll be $7 for the remainder”. I was like, wtf. But whatever, i handed over the 7 bucks anyway.

But dammit, i could have sworn i had it preordered and paid off! Why am i paying an extra 50 bucks for something i already paid for! I didn’t bother to have her check though. So i just went home. Sweet game by the way. It’s no Burnout 3 but it’s still damn good. Lots of customization options. Plus it’s funny to take the game on xbox live. Lots of black people singing rap songs about Escalades, 21 inch rims and arguing about which is better, American made cars or ‘shitty’ Japanese ricers.

So anyway, i just gave my local Blockbuster/GameRush a call today and asked to see if i had it paid off in advance or not. Just to be sure that i wasn’t imagining things. Turns out that i did! Stupid fucking cashier. So i had them refund the $50+ dollars back into my account and now i’m stuck with more credit than i know what to do with. I really don’t have any long term use for it since i’ll be leaving the US soon. If only i can have that store credit back as cash. I could use the monies to pay my bills. I’ll probably use it to get Donkey Kong Jungle Beat or something.

Time to run. I have an exam to study for.

I’m sort of in the middle of exams right now. Finals week. I’ll post again once i find some free time. But yeah, if any of you out there are math wizs, maybe you can help me out with something.

I’m supposed to prove the APR formula and show that:

APR = 2rN/N+1

Where r is the simple add on interest rate and N is the total number of payments.

I think you’re supposed to come up with an example using whatever numbers you choose and then look for a pattern or something. And then you’re supposed to generalize that example with letters instead of numbers. Does anybody know how the hell to do this??

God i hate math.

It’s probably like 30 minutes long or something from start to finish. I don’t think many people are going to enjoy this or have the patience to sit through the whole thing but if you’ve got nothing else better to do, have a look. It helps if you’re a Final Fantasy III (SNES) fan. And a fairly hardcore gamer that knows all the systems well. Otherwise you’ll miss out on some of the in jokes and old school references.

I personally like how the PSP’s special attacks are “Unreliable Battery”, “Defective Square Button” and “Tech Support”. “Please hold. Your call is important to us”. Hahaha. Oh and i like the flying UMD attack too.

So i figured i’d check out it out. You know, just to see what the site was like. And damn, was it ever creepy. I mean, all they ever posted about was underage girls! I felt so dirty looking at that site. So i immediately cleared out my cache, deleted my history and took a cold shower. Seriously, who would even make a site like that??
